Merry Meet sisters and Brothers!
I am just a 'Baby Wiccan' and i have recently worked a spell to bring a person back into my life who has been lost for many years. Well it worked! Within a few days of working this spell, we were contacted by this relative, who we feared we would never find.
How do you thank the goddess? For allowing me to find my way to this path and to have recieved such a blessing? We did light a candle and give thanks, but i just feel like it was not enough.
What have you done before to show gratitude?
Your answers will be warmly recieved with thanks.
Blessed Be!
Ariel

Bright Blessings to you, Ariel! I'm glad this worked for you and it sounds like you are on the right path.

Your every day should be a gesture of gratitude. Respect yourself as a sacred being as well as others around you and the earth around you. Tend your garden, talk to the trees, feed the wild animals around your home, care for your family and friends ... if you do all things then you are showing The God and Goddess gratitude for your life and your being. Open yourself up to The Divine and you will know what it wishes of you. Follow that message and your magick will continue to flourish!

Bright Blessings to you, Sister.

Merry Meet!

Full moon is best, but anytime really, cast a circle, and give sacrifice of flowers and things you think would be pleasing. Say whats in your heart and show your gratitude anyway you feel comfortable. Nothing is written in stone of how and what you have to do. If it makes you feel you've conquered your quest, then you have. It may be that it may take some time to show it, in different ways or workings you do upon your path.

Maybe something each night like a candle, keeping it upon your altar. The more creative you are, the more time you take doing so, to me, it feels more genuine than throwing something small together and rushing thru it.

Blessings to you and your family! Tesra

You could set up your altar (if you use one) with all sorts of small sacrificial offerings. Candles, nice incense. Perhaps a small sacrificial meal you prepared. The meal does not have to be to elaborate and could be anything. Use milk and honey or something, nice flower decorations and things. Then do an invocation or only a prayer to your conception of the goddess and give your thanks and your offering. Afterwards throw the foodstuffs outside on the ground to be taken by nature. Let the incense and candles burn out. Or you can make a nice garden, which you will be able to tend to. Dedicating it to the goddess as a gesture of thanks. This is very elaborate so try it if you like ritual and things. I love ritual personally.

Look up traditional offerings for the Goddess you worship. (Even if you only worship one Goddess, you may prefer a face of the Goddess from mythology, such as Athena or Freya.) Use those. Or plant some pretty flowers.

The candle and simple acknowledgement of thanks are good, too.

So glad to hear that the spell worked for you. :-)

Personally, when I want to thank the Goddess for something I cast circle, invite Her to join me, and thank Her with offerings of food and/or incense. You've already had many excellent answers on how to do exactly that.

Congratulations on your success.

We always shake picnic crumbs out as a "gift to the Godess in the form of ants", stale eggs as a "gift to the Godess in the form of crows" (etc etc). My daughter's loved doing that since before she started pre-school..

OK the Crows all but knock on my front door looking for tucker - but....

Your prayers are enough. You may also wish to give Her an offering and/or set up an altar in home or a special spot in your garden just for Her.

Give Her thanks in your heart because that is where She is. Follow Her passage through the Wheel of the Year. Respect and care for Her Earth and Her creatures and delight in Her beauty and wisdom. Blessed Be. Enjoy this wonderful path.
