I used to be naturally blonde... so i was gutted when i got older and my hair started to turn darker blonde!!

So i used to dye my hair every 6 weeks or more... But now Ive dyed it to what i hope is my natural colour..so that i can grow it out and not dye it anymore!!

My hairs in bad condition from dying and straightening so i thought id just go natural!

Plus my eyebrows did not match my hair so it was a big give away...and i was not willing to get my eyebrows tinted too!!

My hairdresser told me that if i didnt stop dying it at home then my hair would end up falling out!

Yes, did it yesterday. I dread doing it because my hair is very long, very thick and curly and it takes ages. I like it when it's done, though. The only time I had it done by a hairdresser, I went to a very exclusive salon because I was scared of getting it messed up . They relieved me of a large chunk of my small salary, put a terrible colour on it and spent about an hour twisting it into what I can only describe as dreads! I had to go out a few days later, buy a decent colour and do it myself!

I dyed my hair once, a few years ago (it's usually dark brown, but I wanted it to be black for the Millenium....god knows why)

Dyeing my hair wasn't a problem, but dyeing my goatee was a complete pain in the rear - they give you a bottle of the dye and what looked like a small toothbrush to apply it......I ended up looking like a black and white minstrel...lol

No, I have natural golden blonde hair, I used to get it highlighted years ago but then realised that my hair colour was really nice on its own and haven't dyed it for over 5 years. It is really good for your hair, my hair is always soft and shiny and when I get it cut y hairdresser always comments on the great condition it is in. Give your own colour a chance before you mess with it!

I color my hair because i'm a hair dresser, otherwise, i would never do it myself if i wasnt educated because there are so is so much more to hair color than just sticking in it your hair after you mix it and letting it cook on your hair... I recommend that you let a professional do the job because they can choose what is best for your facial features as well as wat is best for your hair. Plus, if a color comes out incorrectly, your first instinct would probably be is throw another color over it and that is wrong because a colorist could solve the problem without having to damage your hair with another color. Take care of your hair and dont color it with the over the counter box colors, they arent great, they damage your hair , and they are not good quality. QUALITY product=QUALITY hair

Oooops think I've damaged my hair, best stop before it all falls out!

Oh yes, but I usually highlight it, that way I can see if I want to grow grey gracefully, at the moment I have a mix of blond brown and grey, it's quite nice actually.
