I know this isn't a serious discussion.
The FSM shows, I think, that we can elevate anything to the position of God if we have no evidence of what God is like.
But I think that if I define God as the One who created me, then I do have evidence, but not proof, of what God is like. If I know that mercy and justice and compassion and love are right and good, and I assume that my Creator exists, it is logical that He placed that knowledge within me. It is logical that if He put that knowledge within me then He is not without that knowledge and so He is likely to be merciful and just and compassionate and loving. I could continue but you get the point.
