I guess it depends on your viewpoint. I am Roman Catholic by birth, and I have gone to church a few times. (I am not sure about Islam etc.) But the concept that we were taught is that God 'sets the stage' so to speak. It is up to us to follow God's teachings, or not to. I was told that everyone at some point in their life is introduced to the Lord and that is when they make their choice; Heavenly or otherwise. I personally see the Lord as more of a guide who wants to share love and compassion and would like for us to do the same. God knows that it is possible for us to succumb to earthly desires accidentally. This is my argument against the control you speak of!

"What is our comfort in life and death" "That I, with body and Soul, both in life and death, am not my own. But belong to my faithful savior Jesus Christ who so preserves me that with out the will of God in Heaven, not a hair can fall from my head; Yea that all things must work together for my salvation."

second, i believe the mess in america where i live is the cause of liberal extremists. god has little to do with it, its people with an agenda.
