Oceanside New York?

Question

can somebody tell me something about Oceanside New York? I was searching the web, but I didn't find much. I'm planning to go there for a summer job. Any information would be helpfull

I haven't been to Oceanside for a very long time. Years ago, we had a Harley and would ride out to Nathan's in Oceanside on Tuesday nights; there would be more than a thousand motorcycles at Nathan's every Tuesday. I don't know if this still happens on Tuesdays, or even if Nathan's is still there (this was the second Nathan's in the US)

A cozy middle class south shore community on Long Island bedroom community to NYC about 35 miles from Manhattan. You have the Southeast Nassau Hospital in Oceanside. The two main roads are Long Beach Road and Oceanside Road. NY Knicks basketball player Kiki Vanderwegh as well as football quarterback Jay Fielder of the Miami Dolphins grew up in Oceanside.

Oceanside is on the South shore of Long Island mid way in Nassau County. Transportation is via the local bus system or the long island railroad. Not much doing there I'm afraid but it is fairly close to Jones Beach if you enjoy that. There is also good shopping on Long Island as there are 2 malls--Roosevelt Field in Garden City and the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa Park in addition to all the local shops. It is not however, a hop skip and jump into the city. It is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour outside of Manhattan.

Not much to say. As you probably know, it is on Long Island, on the south shore. It is near the beaches. It is just a small suburban town. Good Luck .
