I believe that Jesus died for everyone. I'm sure you know this Scripture from the Bible... John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." I also believe it's in free will that we are saved. Well you have to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior but I hope you know what I mean. I see it as Jesus knocking on the doors of our heart. Just like someone would knock at our door we can open it and invite Jesus in or we can ignore the fact that anyone (Jesus) is there. Jesus is always there for us we just need to let Him in. I am non denominational.

I believe that Christ is able to save any and all who ask for forgiveness and that none are left out if they choose to ask. SOOO, I think the question is, rather, is there such a thing as "predestination."
I believe no ... God creates us each with a free will to make a choice to choose forgiveness and salvation or to not. Although He is all knowing and all powerful, He has chosen to limit Himself in the arena of freewill so that we may choose to love and follow Him and therefore complete the circle of perfect love. When Christ said "I am the way the truth and the light, no man comes to the father except through me." He didn't make reference to exclusionary clauses. Nor in revelations 3:20 when it says "Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Is there any reference to ... but not you ... you're not in the book. Ya know?
So, He is willing and very able to save every individual on this planet. The choice belongs to the individual ...
I am Nazarene by denomination

I was a Christian for many years and I am now Pagan, partly through things like this question. The arrogance of Christianity astounds me and in my eyes it shames, and I think, saddens Jesus by its ignorance. He obviously taught you nothing by His life and death. Jesus died to show us that we cannot die. That we carry on living when the physical body is worn out or damaged. He came to remind us that we are eternal beings. Why do you make Him less than He is?

If you believe in Logic and Common Sense, then, you have to ask yourself, why must Jesus DIE for everybody?
What is the purpose of our Life then? So, we do whatever we want, and in the end, just accept Jesus into our hearts and Hey Presto ! we are in heaven. Is there any bit of Common Sense in there?
Original Sin, just because Adam and Eve sinned, we all have become sinners. Please, we need a little bit of Sense here.
The act of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit is labeled by Christianity as the Original Sin. They say that because of this Original Sin, all people born afterwards were born in sin. The newborn baby according to Christianity is a sinner.
Islam, however goes on to give us a deeper lesson from the story. It is learnt that after eating from the forbidden tree, Adam repented and God forgave him for God is Most Merciful. This is the lesson given to all Mankind by Quran. It is not of the Original Sin but of Original Forgiveness which shows the Merciful nature of God.
Man is by nature bound to commit sins either of small or major magnitude. God knows this nature of man because He is the Creator. God on the other hand is Most Merciful and is there to forgive man when he sincerely repents. The lesson derived from the Quran is much more complete and gives us a better picture of the nature of God. For forgiveness, all man needs to do is to turn towards God, repent for the wrong he did and promise not to repeat it. God who is Most Merciful then forgives the creation and on the Day of Judgment, this act will not be held up against him.
Thus the lesson which God wanted to give for all of humanity was that of Original Forgiveness rather than Original Sin. Islam teaches us this lesson and informs us that all newborns are without the burden of any sin on their shoulders. They are innocent. From the story the theme is easy to understand. God created man – Man committed sin – Man turned towards God for forgiveness – God forgave man for indeed God is Most Merciful.
There is NO NEED for a HUAMN SACRIFICE, to attain SALVATION !

Jesus died for his Hebrew People! He also theoretically died for future generations. That is, he left a legacy of forgiveness and good ethics. I like them, but that part of us that is Jesus, or Jesus like, if we are devout, would do the same things. Impossible, but as people, we try........ It is not like WE are capable of being this SUPER Medicine Person.

Jesus died when he was killed by the powers-be of that time for his anti-establishment views. What has anyone's sins to do with it. Every individual dies his own death and punished for his own deeds before God. No one can take the burden of anyone's sins on his shoulders.

I think it is more correct to say that Jesus absorbed all the sins of the world, taking in all our pain and evil and misery. This was an incredible event. Extremely powerful and divine.

The sacrifice on Calvary cannot be limited in it`s effect, it has the power to save anyone who renounces their sinful and rebellious life and converts to believing in Christ and following His Gospel, the sad fact however is that not all will choose to do this and so not all will inherit the kingdom of Heaven.

Hii... Charismatic here.
I believe that Jesus died to save all of us, as that is what God our Father meant for Him to do in the new covenant, such that we would be free of all condemnation if we believe in Him
