Is biotechnology a good thing?

I think so because it'll mean cheaper food,better,longer and more fulling lives.I believe Transhumanism is the answer after all

making farming more efficient and profitable
making ranching more efficient and profitable
improving the nutritional value of foods
enhancing the flavor and appearance of food
lower and stablize cost of food
higher food yields
decreased need for fertilizers and pesticides
