so there's this guy at school and all his friends say he likes me but when i try to talk to him he acts all stuck up. so i then think 'ok so he doesn't like me' but then i catch him looking at me like all the time and his friends won't leave me alone! what the hell is going on here? what is this guy up too? i need urgant help!

Irish lass pretty much nailed it....He is playing a game...but not on purpose. Its pretty much a defense mechanism.
He likes you but is still not sure how to handle his feeling toward you. Don't worry most men do grow out of it. just give us time.
the only thing I can suggest with this guy is if he wont talk to you....well, you snooze you lose.
just move on to someone else. unless you feel he's worth waiting for.

OK, lets just say this fellas name is Jim....JIm is trying to act the hard man in front of you..pretending he doesnt like you when secretelt its all he can do to stop thinking and looking at you..These games have been going on for years with men!!They havent quite grasped that if you like someone you show em and tell em, I'm wit my fella nearly 5years and god bless him he still tries to play these stupid games!!! Now you have 2 choices here...play him at his own game by that I mean completely oignore him dont go talking to him act like you dont even know his there..then he will panic and more than lightly come out with it to you or you could just go straight up to him and say listen Jim your friends tell me you like me i like you so whats the deal? He will have no choice but to give you a straight answer...Personally I would go with option 2...saves time!!Either way best of luck!!!

the guy is in love with you. he feels that if he acts tough around u, u will like him. talk with him, flirt with him. after awhile he will ask you out and he'll stop being stuck up. Us guys think all girls like tough guys. so we always try to act tough. just become really good friends then eventually u'll be dating. hope this helps .

Next time they tell you that he likes you, you tell them this--"Well why hasn't he bothered to ask me out?" What are you supposed to do--read his mind?
