on the contrary, i find each book conveying a series of messages.
some do overlap but some thoughts are exclusive & unique,the author's own,thus opening a wide new perspective for the reader :-)

I find that if I read many books from the same author their plot lines become repetitive.

I try to vary the authors and the types of books I read to avoid this phenomenon.

Most books are written by a certain formula. I like the classics better. They are truly great in their own right, and many of the authors paved the way for today's literature.

Fictionally there are a small amount of plots that are constantly repeated...but the supporting facts can be refreshing and enlightening. I learn something from every book I read...every time I read it.

lol not yet, but I have read so many books that when I start to talk about one of them, parts from a different book will try to work their way in to what I am telling everyone about

Eric, great minds think alike. Besides all of that, we are somewhat limited as to the thoughts we can attain to, aren't we? Eventually someone has thought it, wrote it, read it. There is nothing new under the Sun. Now, think about that.
