find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Yes growing teens can have hormonal changes that cause weight gain.
yes there is a simple very safe way to lose weight.

2 tablespoons of organic 5% acidity apple cider vinegar after every meal. (3x a day)
It is sour to drink. most people mix it with apple juice, but the most effective way is by itself.
If you drink it by itself make sure to drink a glass of water after itto prevent the acidity from wearing your tooth enamel, same as with drinking orage juice or lemon juice etc.

The best thing about it, is it will clean your body of many harmful pollutants while making you lose weight. Even after you lose weight you can continue with this regimen at least once a day.
It will only make you lose body fat and unhealthy chemicals and pollutants, without harming your muscles and healthy tissue, or having any side effects. SO it will not allow you to get rail skinny, but rather lean and healthy.

I have done this after i had my baby 5 months ago, and have lost all the baby weight and a few more :)

I hope this helps
and good luck
Nothing wrong with wanting to be lean and healthy, just as long as you stay focused on the healthy pasrt as well :)

Walking, swimming, tennis, basketball, dancing in the living room to your favourite music, cardio work out tapes, and walking your dog are plenty of ways to get in some good and FUN exercise. Burning calories every day of the week will deff. make you lose weight.

Also eating as many fruits and vegetables as you like can make you lose weight. Fresh fruits/veggies are the best for you, but I don't see a problem eating canned or frozen. If the canned fruit has heavy sweet syrup on it, just wash it off.

But remember you also need some good sources of calcium (for your bones and teeth) such as milk, yogurt, and cheese.

And you need good sources of protein ( for your muscles) such nuts, seeds, baked chicken, baked fish, baked LEAN pork, and baked LEAN beef.

Your parents should be able to help you (being that your mom is the one doing the cooking). Just ask Mom to PLEASE cook more healthy food and promise her that you'll eat your veggies.

It would be fun to get your whole family to eat better and exercise daily!

You could also talk to a nutritionist or dietitian to help you make healthier choices for food. Your local hospital will have a dietitian that you can talk to and get some really good information about reading labels and how many calories and grams of fat/protein/carbs that your body needs per day.

Good Luck with losing weight, hun! :-)
