Summer is coming up and that means that I have 3 months to get slimmer. I swim a lot in the summer and it gives me a slimmer look but I don't lose any pounds. I also don't eat a lot but what i do eat sticks to me and I can't seem to burn off the fat that it has. What are some great workouts that are suitable for a 15-16 year old and what diet plans should I consider? It is very hard for me to lose weight. In the last few months I have gone down two sizes in pants but I haven't lost anymore than five pounds and haven't got more than an inch taller, so why did I drop sizes but not wieght?

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Pounds are relative do not live by the scale. You said that swimming gives you a slimmer look but no loss in pounds ever considered it may be muscle. Muscle weighs 5 times as much as fat.
Numbers are stupid.
They suggest how much you weigh and how old you should act. Age and weight are just numbers. How your body looks and feels to you should be the only answer.
However if you want to know how much you should weigh by your height it goes like this 100 lbs for the first 5 feet then add 5 pounds for every inch after that give or take 10% so if you are 5'7 then your ideal weight is 135-143. Again however for someone that is muscular this does not work thy can be high above 160 and be solid muscle that does not mean they should "lose" weight ya know...
This may tell you that you are already at your ideal weight or close enough to it.
Do not diet, dietitng sucks, just eat healthy, lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats, and whole grains steer clear of fried foods and far far away from sodas, not just a drink but literally a food. However everything in moderation, you can splurge once a week or twice a week or so if there is something that you love like ice cream (1/2 cup) or sodas (1 can)or french fries (sm), but in moderation!!
Drink water or nonsweeteed ice tea. Again do not fret over the scale, they are evil. How you look and feel is all that is important

Studies have shown that people who diet gain all the weight back and PLUS some. Unfortunately our genetics determine our size. Look at both sides of your family and average the two sizes for the females. That is what you are going to look like. They have separated twins and they still look alike despite different upbringings and food choices. Studies have also shown that men do not care what size you are, just so long as you are curvy. They like an hour glass and they don't care what the measurements are just so long as it is an hour glass. I just wanted to point that out because I remember how I felt at your age and I thought if I could just lose weight I will get a boy friend. But I started living instead and just wore nice clothes that fit and that I liked and I was happy. Now I am a size 18 and I am happily married to the man of my dreams. My best friend is a size 18/20 and she has had over 15 boyfriends and she is only 24 years old. Don't fall for all the weight loss adds telling you to diet. It can ruin your metabolism and you will end up worse off. You should keep in mind that you are still growing and you may go through a growth spurt where the weight evens out! I think it is great that you are getting active but consider doing fun things like swimming and playing soccer. Don't think of it as exercise.
