People create new words every day. Television or computer or plexiglass or metrosexual all are relatively new words, probably more words were created in the last 100 years than in all previous history. The first words were created by whoever first used a repetitive utterance or grunt to identify something or someone, no one will ever know.

it was man
it is a form of comunication between humans
it is not only logical to assume that humans invented it, but its the fact that man was driven to improve his skills of comunication skills of interaction
