The truth is, not everyone can tolerate alcohol. It could be that you are allergic to alcohol. It is also possible that your stomach lining is very sensitive to the toxicity of alcohol. It would be best to stick with "virgin" drinks since your body obviously does not tolerate alcohol. Or, if you are ordering mixed drinks, see if they can use only half the alcohol - making the drink less potent. Cutting back on the amount of alcohol might make it possible for you to drink if you still limit yourself to one or two drinks.

Another thing that you might try, if you are determined to drink, is to eat something greasy before drinking. The grease may coat your stomach enough to prevent you from vomiting. Keep in mind that greasy foods and alcohol are both high in calories so you might want to watch your consumption of both if you see your weight starts to increase. I'm sorry to say that if you still can't drink after eating greasy foods, you will either have to tolerate being sick or give up on alcohol.

Getting sick after drinking is more common than you think. Quite of few of the population cannot tolerate alcohol in any form. There are many people can't drink red wine because the phenolic flavanoids (which give it the red color) will precipitate a migraine. I am one of those people. I don't drink red wine ever because I know I will suffer for three days afterwards.
