Nobody wants to ban all guns...that's just republican propaganda.

Most people want certain types of weapons made illegal, those guns that serve no purpose but crime...assault weapons for example. ....Nobody is threatening to take away your shotgun or hunting rifle (unless you're hunting with an assault rifle...and if you are..you have no sense of sportsmanship and you are a nut ).

Most also want a waiting period to make sure the gun buyer is not a criminal, or mentally insane, etc.

That is not "banning" but rather applying common sense to an out of control situation.

What is it with Republicans are misinformation ? Y'all addicted ?

I'm pro gun. Even if I didn't own one, I would still not be in favor of banning guns. This always happens after something like V tech, but if someone is stabbed or if they were blown up would they ban knives and every material explosives can be made of?
I believe every citizen has the right to have the means to protect themselves, and leaving only criminals and military/police with arms is ludicrous, even more so in the times we are living in. I also believe in the Constitution and why the second amendment is a part of it.
I honestly think that if the government tried to confiscate our guns, there would be an uprising of civil war magnitude.

It's pretty telling that a law had been passed months before the tragedy that banned guns from campus. There's gun control for ya. An armed populace is the last bastion of defense against tyranny. Our founding fathers envisioned our army as something more like Switzerland, which means a gun in every closet. We wouldn't be fighting all these stupid wars for oil and the military industrial complex, that's for sure.

In PA,they're pushing a law making it illegal to buy more than 1 gun a month. Now,who buys more than 1 gun at a time, possibly police forces or gun dealers?. Hell, the casual hunter probably doesn't buy 5 guns in a lifetime. The law is ridiculous, but it gives some politician a chance to prove he's working to protect us.
PS I don't own a gun, but I enjoy target shooting. I don't hunt, but if you do enjoy hunting, have fun and be safe. If you were my neighbor and owned a 50 cal machine gun, that's your business,
i'd just hope you were gun-safety aware.

i am pro-gun. i was given my first gun at age 3, and have hunted my entire life. guns are not dangerous, its the people handling them that are. i believe we have a right to guns for the use of recreation, such as hunting, target shooting, sporting clays, etc. hunting also is a great way to provide food for yourself. i also believe in the right to own a gun for self protection. there will never be a way to completely ban guns. people own them already. might as well just keep things like they are. i do agree with the psychiatric examination thing though. that could help keep guns out of the hands of people like the va tech shooter.

I'm very pro gun and believe that honest law abiding citizens shouldn't be penalized for the mistakes of criminals. With that being said I believe that the process of obtaining a gun should be harder. You should go through courses both training and safety, background check and something very important a psychological examination.

im pro gun...in the constitution we have to right to bear arms. I personally believe that everyone also has a right to protect themselves and their families. Criminals will find ways to get guns, and making gun restrictions will only keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens.

just my 2 cents

i am pro-gun and anti-idiots...most people killed by guns are unregistered guns...i think before people are allowed to own a gun they should go through a course that teaches how to use it and safety...i think banning guns in America should never happen...it is the 2nd amendment...apparently it was important to the founders to put it at number 2 right after free speech...

No doubt you will get the usual founding fathers bullsh*t, big deal .

The founding fathers obviously had a vision that if enough dickh##ds bought guns they would do society a favour and iradicate themselves.

Yeah I bet you have guns for "protection" and you wouldnt have the balls to fire it when it came to the crunch.

Howcome if every one is so positive about protecting themselves do you have such a high crime rate?

If this crap is working I would have thought that you would have had less criminals....not more!
