What are the advantages of this handle bar compared to a flat handle bar? Will 2.5 inches rise help put my back in a up right posture? Does this bar flex alot when riding or is it stiff like a flat bar. Thanks

Riser bars are generally better for riding comfort than flat. The Easton is one of the better bars. I have ridden with the Easton carbon version and it is a good bar. Overall I would recommend anything in the Easton range, especially the riser bars.

Easton makes a great product. I am a fan of their bars, stems, and even forks. The rise will certainly get you more upright. You generally don't want to be fully upright as it will put all of your weight on your rear causing discomfort and lack of steering control.

You might also try a shorter stem to get the bars closer to you.

i have an EC70 mokeyLite carbon riser, and i absolutely love it. its stronger than aluminum and i bought it almost 1/2 price from Cambria Bicycle Outfitter. in my opinion, riders are more comfortable than flat bars. they do feel different although i cant explain how it feels, but the risers seem more stable. if you want a more upright position, then you need to raise the stem hight, not the handlebars.
