my hole body was in the mri scan does this mean they looked at my brain?

When I had my MRI of the spine, my body felt like it was, but actually they are looking at the whole spinal column which runs from your neck to your butt. Also when I had the MRI of the brain, only my head was in the machine. They should had explained the procedure to you.

No. Unless you had a whole body scan, which is extremely unusual and expensive, an MRI is only going to be looking at one part of your body -- such as lumbar spine, cervical spine, or brain.
