i an planning to get braces soon and have my first orthodontic appointment tomorrow, and i was wondering if everyone needs spacers before braces? and also can anyone tell me what will happen in my appointment tomorrow? thanx

No, not everyone needs spacers. You have to remember that evryone's mouth is as unique as a fingerprint.

They will take photos and radiographs (x-rays), and maybe impressions to create study models. Don't worry. It's nothing to be afraid of; you don't even have to be numb!!

I don't need spacers since I have TOO much spaces between my teeth. I have buckteeth since I was a child and now, I'm super happy to have them fixed through braces. Even if my teeth hurt sometimes, I'm welcoming the pain because I know my teeth are moving in the right direction !
