I believe in the literal truth of the Bible. But you do not have to actually believe that the whole Bible is true. John 3:16 is the minimum. : )

That's what I've been saying whenever a debate about evolution comes up. To be honest, while evolution is just a theory, it's the best thing we have to understanding how God created... well everything, so until a better explanation comes along I'll just stick with it. To say that evolution remains unmentioned in the Bible is true(to my knowledge), but it also does not say "And God definitely did NOT use evolution" I think that's one of the poorest arguments I've seen made on here so far. I thought I also saw someone say that evolution has no direction to it, it's completely random. This is true, but in order to create man don't you think that God could have interfered with it?
The point is, no one really knows 100% how exactly we got here, but there are some good theories out there. Whether God snapped his fingers and poof, man appeared, or evolution took its long and natural course and than man was here, who can really say. But one thing in my opinion is certain, religion and science do not contradict one another in my humble opinion as I believe that God works through the natural laws that He created when he created the earth. I know many people don't agree with me on this, but I'm not really asking you to, I'm just tossing the idea out there...

Evolutionary theory is the work of man regarding science and the ability of that man who is a scientist came from the power of God who give him intellict.Jesus is the Son of God but not God incarnated. His resurrection from the dead is spiritual matter not physical.
We should know the possibility about the universe, the galaxy and the earth by way of understanding and reading the bibl and the faith to God of his powerful spiritual being.

No God did not use Evolution to create since the two are polar opposites....
Creation has Man bringing death into the world and Evolution has death bringing Man into the world. If death already existed at the time of Adam and Eve then they wouldn't have cared about eating from the tree of knowledge.
PS Callista the bible also doesn't say that God definately didn't pull the world out of a moldy bananna either that doesn't mean he could have. Sheesh.....

You really need to read the Bible as a whole to understand. There are certain qualities of God, that are not represented by evolution. Survival of the Fittest for instance. Evolution in general is chaotic, with no plan or purpose. It is like throwing dice. This does not fit in to the character of God, as shown in the Bible. Plus, Evolution is a Theory! Not Fact. It is an Educated Hypothesis that has not been proved wrong, but it is pursued as a religion. There should be a balanced view on how we got here, but because of the fact that you can't measure God, creation is thrown out. In Science, if you can't measure it, it does not exits. This system they have is now in trouble, because before the Big Bang (Singularity), all law of physics break down and are unmeasurable. We will just have to wait until the unifying theory of Everything is stumbled on (Most likely having to do with Super String Theory) and then I think the idea of Power Creating the Universe will come in to view.

Hi rrridveitlekp. God says in His Holy Word the Bible that the earth is a little more than 13,000 years old. Definitely not millions or billions of years old. God tells us in Genesis 1:27 He created man on the sixth day:
"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." He created Man on the sixth day
Scientists who believe in the theory of evolution say the earth is millions or billions of years old.
You say that you believe in God and you say that you believe that Jesus was the Son of God and He was in fact God Himself. You are right in believing this. This is the truth.
The problem is you do not believe the entire Bible. You are picking and choosing what you believe and what you don't believe. You don't believe God when His Word says that the world is about 13,000 years old. You are choosing to believe scientists, who are fallible humans. God is infallible.
People who believe this way are in terrible jeopardy of believing a lie. God tells us He will send a lie to confuse the unbelievers in 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12:
"And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
As a true believer we must always believe the Word of God before we believe the word of men.

I think it's the implications in some fields, such as the Ape to man Theory. I personally think it's absurd considering that the "Missing Link" (i.e. A "Mankey") has never been produced. I've been trying to separate the Microevolution, Macroevolution, and Genesis creation to get a better understanding of it.

not very convincing. those human beings who're atheist have merely as lots a reason to stay as those human beings who're theist. I doubt this became into any diverse hundreds of years in the past. besides the undeniable fact that, besides the undeniable fact that, extremely god perception does have some style of evolutionary foundation; in any different case, it does not have certainly one of those profound result on maximum of humanity. The question is, even with the incontrovertible fact that, is god perception a genetic trait in and of itself or is it the by ability of-made of yet another genetic trait?

I give up, You are absolutely right.
The Flinstones was a documentary.
Kids used to ride dinosaurs to school across the plains of Kansas.
Snakes and Donkeys can talk.
The Sun can fit inside of a mountain valley.
Stars can fall to the surface of a flat Earth.
The Sky is a Tent.
Water is on the other side of Heaven.
Angels move the stars around so that we know what time it is.
etc, etc, etc.
If you are going to believe one bit of foolishness why stop. Why not believe all of the foolishness in the bible

Sorry to say but it is people like you who misquote the Bible and then try to put your own spin on it to justify what you want to believe. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the LIFE according to John 14:6.
The problem with the evolution theory is not it is not recorded anywhere in God's Word.

The only thing i see which can mixed is the first part...
"let there be light" and the Big Bang
according to big bang theory there were lots of photons during the event.
which is before the plants... so there was light for them
