Okay, so what you are saying is that Buddha, Allah, Krishna and all other gods have a right to be in the public eye too. Come on as an atheist nothing would be funnier than to have church and state unseparated and the Christians would have to acknowledge other gods worshiped do you swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the whole truth so help me Allah,Buddha,God, Krishna and whatever god you choose to worship. And how would you feel if your kid comes home after celebrating another religions day and they make little idols. Oh, that would make me laugh good. Oh, and yall can not complain because fair is fair.

Great! USA must be more advanced on the anti-religion front than Australia, but I'm glad they are taking religion out of public life. Everyone has a different religion and so no one religion should be forced down eveyrone's throats like Easter and Christmas.
If you want to celebrate your special religious holidays, do it in your own home because there are many people in the world who don't wanna have it shoved in their faces whenever they leave their houses.

God has absolutely nothing to do with the Easter bunny. That is an ancient fertility symbol of a pagan religion.

Its not the atheists - its the many diverse religions that we - ok, well some of us, apparently not you - welcome into our lives, there are too many religions for one to be favored for commercial reasons. The real reason behind trying to say happy holidays instead of Merry Xmas is that they know the other religions (which also celebrate holidays at that time of year) would merely go to the next store for what they want, rather than have a Christian tradition shoved down their throat.
Personally, I don't care what you call it.

The Easter bunny is pagan, btw... when are Christians going to stop using pagan symbols?
'Merry Christmas' doesn't bother me. Everybody go ahead.

Well my friend the problem is that not many Christians are really doing much about it. The gays and lesbians have their lawyers, the athiest have their lawyers, the muslims have their lawyers, the Christians for the most part are passive. When Christians wake up we can make a difference.

Look... your religion is NOT the only religion. The only way to ensure equality is you bloody religious can't get involved with everyone elses lives. The only way to make sure that happens is for Atheism to rule because equality has never been a religious strong suit. Get used to it.

When are people finally going to stop these Christians from putting their 'god' into our public life?
When there should be all gods or no gods. Typical Christian stance....can't work and play well with others.

When are Christians finally going to stop trying to impose their beliefs on everyone who is non-Christian?
EDIT: Your Easter bunny is a Pagan fertility symbol and your Christmas was originally a Pagan celebration of the return of the SUN.

I believe people have a right to worship and believe in what they want. I also believe that not everyone should have to have "God" in their "public life". I dont think it should be on our money I dont think it should be in our pledge and so forth because not every american believes in this "God". If our country was founded on religious freedom then give us a choice as to if we want it in our public life or not
