You have quite a number of options.
Lately, there're these high tech wiper blades with no metal frame. Like this one from Bosch.
http://www.boschautoparts.com/Products/WiperBlades/Icon.htm
These are the best all weather blades and you'll find they are widely available. Many manufacturers now make them. I can think of 4, but I'm sure there're more: Rain X, Michelin, Bosch, Anco. Note that these are not the "cheap" regular blades with traditional frames.
Michelin:
Walmart, Sears
Rain X:
Walmart
Bosch:
Advance Auto Part
Autozone
Just measure out how long your original blades are and buy the same length blades.
These blades have no empty spaces in the frames, so it won't ice up in the winter and cause uneven wiping.
The plastic/rubber frame structure also features a "wing" design to increase downward force as you drive faster. I've got the Bosch Icons on my 2000 BMW 328ci, used them at 80-85mph and they wiped perfectly; while my factory blades "skipped" with speed.
They cost typically $15-$20 a blade.
I was at the Volvo dealer just now, they had no V70's on the lot, just S40, S60 & XC70. Most of them were already using these modern type wiper blades I was decribing.
Some had special adaptors; in which case, I'd recommend that the safest way to do it is to drive to an Autozone or Advance Auto Parts store, talk to the dude inside, get him to help you make sure the blade fits (ie; install the new wiper blade on the spot), if it doesn't fit, you can immediately return them.

Your Volvo may require a special adapter - that's why it may be hard to find blades at auto parts stores. Owners of domestics and Asians don't realize this.
Go to Pep Boys and see if they have Trico Exact Fit wiper blades for your car. They're not OE-style, but they fit. Also check out NAPA:
http://www.napaonline.com/
They have wiper blades for the 2005 V70 for $17 (driver side) and $15 (passenger side). These are not OEM-style, but they fit and they work. OE-style set from Bosch costs $71. If they don't have them at the local NAPA store, they can usually order them for next day pick-up.
Don't buy regular wiper blades for your car. I once bought a regular Rain-X wiper blade from Wal-Mart for my Jag because the book said they were compatible. Neither of the two adapters that came with it fit my Jag.

Go to the auto parts store and ask for INSERTS. You can replace just the rubber part of the wiper assembly. Much cheaper. That's what I do on my Mercedes.
