I am an american born and raised. what would happen to me if i immigrated illegally to another country with no proof of identity.would the punishment be as minor as americas policy for catching illegal immagrants or would it be more severe.

Try sneaking into Mexico and demonstrating in the streets for your "rights." They'll show you what enforcement is all about. Actually, don't do it. You sound like a good person and I wouldn't want to see any harm come to you.

I don't believe that there is such a thing as illegally immigrating; correct me if I am wrong.
The modern idea of immigration is related to the development of nation-states and nationality law. Citizenship of a nation-state confers an inalienable right of residence in that state, but residence of immigrants is subject to conditions set by immigration law. Good old Wikipedia.
So, if you invaded or illegally entered a country in order to commit crimes against it's citizenry you would be executed in all of the non democratic countries and placed in prison and then deported in all democratic countries except the US.
Chi psi: 23% that are caught are armed with a firearm, 74% are armed with other lethal weapons and 12% carry drugs. 3% of those armed are armed with automatic weapons. Don't you libs EVER read the paper or watch anything but NBC, ABC or CNN?

I don't know why everybody only gave you answers from Mexico but here is what would happen in my country and most others that are not at war: If you are caught at the border you are immediately sent back home at your embassy expenses. If you are caught inside the country you are shipped out as soon as possible still at your embassy expenses. Hope this helps!

from what I understand it is an automatic two years in prison if you enter mexico illegaly. If you go to yahoo search and type in "march for america" it will tell you about the upcoming march that is against illegal immigrants to be held nation wide this june 16th. If you are against illegal immigration you need to get involved. This march is to ask that our present laws be enforced and that any immigrant wanting to come here do so legally and follow our constitution which requires that you lay down your flag, take up ours, learn english and apply legally. I have had my account suspended because the illegals are on here reporting violations with anyone who disagrees with them. Its just one more thing for them to take over. We need to do the same to them.

You would be thrown in jail and given a phone call when they felt like giving it to you and you will be a target for American haters and might get a trial when they felt like getting around to it. And then be sentenced in their country for some crazy amount of years and rot until some onegave at least a million dollars for you. Isnt that disgusting. All these creeps get is deported if they even get that.

Well since we send ours back on a aircontioned Bus without any punishment I would think you will be in a hot mess. I know Mexico throw you in jail with no release in sight unless there is money involved.

the whole thing is that Americans are too lazy to find a way to illegally immigrate to anouther country. but im sure you would be put in jail for a really long time in some countrys i think you could be put to death

Those of you that speak of Mexico's punishment obviously have no idea what your talking about. Mexico will do nothing to you. Unfortunately the government there is so corrupt they could care less! Most countries respect the USA and welcome us with open arms. Too bad we can't show the same hospitality.
