According to the UKC, how do they do a DNA test on my dog? How does that work? It cost a little more with paper work

To Jennifer,
I am ashame of you, do u discriminate blacks, asian, or mexican? Why are you discriminating my dog, pitbulls have been around for centuries, use in police and military combat, watch more PBS lady. Ever heard of nurture vs nature.
STOP BEING DISCRIMINATING. I seen other dogs other than pitbulls turn against their master

The AKC is the most respected and in most eyes is the ONLY legitimate registry. You can only register with the AKC if the parents/grandparents, etc are registered dogs.
The Pitbill Registry like the Continental Kennel club are businesses. They will register any dog with no regard to pedigree, legitimacy of breeder, etc. The are out to make money only (many registries will register your dog as the breed if it only has one purebred parent!) There are no sanctioned shows that recognize or judge breed standard.
There is no such thing as a quality dog "falling off the papers and needing a registry for them. With no paper trail of parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc there is no guarantee of health and genetics - and therefore the dogs should not be bred.
Call your local animal shelter and they will tell you where a lowcost clinic is or they may have one there. Please neuter the father dog too. Puppies can be spayed as early as 8-10 weeks so please do so before they go to their new homes.

The UKC is the most resputable for registering Pit Bulls. Contact them and they can give you all the info you need concerning registration requirements.Be ware of all the scam registries out there..all they want is your money and they will issue bogus papers that are worthless.
The UKC is a very reputable registry and is ranked second only to the AKC.
Your dogs won't be able to be registered with the AKC.
When doing a breeding program both parents need to be registered with a legit registry such as UKC or AKC and the litter then needs to be registered as well. It really isn't a good practice to breed unregistered, unhealth tested dogs or dogs that haven't been evaluated for breed standard.
As for spaying it is usually fine to spay her when the puppies are 12 weeks old or older.(or the milk has completely dried up and mammary system has gone back to normal.

You cannot just register dogs with a legitimate registry.. The parents must be registered, the litter must be registered... You can't just start out of the blue.. The dogs behind your dogs must have been registered all along. Otherwise it means nothing.
That isn't legitimate.. It says right on the site that you don't need any previous registration for your dog.. Which means they could care less whether you can trace it's ancestry or anything else..

First of all, APBT is not a "registering" place, but it's the actual name for Pit Bulls, meaning American Pit Bull Terriers.
ACR
UKC
NKC
ADBA
APRI
CKC
and APBR are all good registry places, however, in order to have the pups registered, the parents must have been registered prior to the breeding. You might have some luck in getting just the pups registered, but it will most likely cost more..
and, to Jennifer, what makes a Pit Bull different from any other breed of dog? There's no part in their brains that make them "evil", and anyone who thinks different is a complete idiot.
PUNISH THE DEED AND NOT THE BREED.

If the parents are akc registered you canand the litter of your dog was registered then you can. If there was a no breeding clause in the contract their offspring cannot become akc registered. Unless you are breeding or showing your dogthere is no reason to have it registered as it is expensive.
It would only be a piece of paper sitting in a drawer. The breeders of your dog should be able to show you its pedigree.

DP is correct.
As far as people being discriminating,it is because of those who get pitbulls and are making them aggressive and fighting them that cause this. . . one bad apple spoils the barrel.
Yes,it IS nurture not nature. My brother has a pitbull that he got before pits became the designer dog that it has become but you have to admit, not all pits are as nurtured as you claim yours will be.

I just saw on the news a little girls face was ripped off by a pitbull...stop breeding them they are vicious unstable animals papers or not they are a mistake of nature and should be forced into extinction...yuk! just yuk on you!
Never seen a lab or a westie or a yorkie or a shitzu mull... unprovoked...a childs face off...
I quote the little girl when I say she told her mother the dog tried to "eat her face off"...not evil...dude I said "a mistake of nature"...quote me right or get down off your platform! One time is too many and since we see this in the news weekly about Pittbulls I am going to assume it is the breed...I would never have a Pitbull as a house pet same as I wouldn't have a Mountain Lion as one...wouldn't even chance it... but good luck to you if you want to. I hope you don't like your face much cause it's bound to come up missing with a pittbull in the house!!!!!
To Sheila P.....I am not ashamed of myself and I stand my ground....when you walk your dogs do people look at you like your carrying a loaded shot gun? that is because NOBODY likes them because they cannot be trusted!
AND your on here trying to "Create" papers telling the world that your dogs bloodline is pure...don't pittulls have brains unusally smalll and Jaws unusually large...again a mistake of nature...furthermore go ahaed and insist that they are great house pets even though they are...
USED IN COMBAT?????Nice! Just so you know that if anyone I love is ever hurt by your favorite breed....I will get a good lawyer and sue the owner for everything they ever make monetarily for the rest of their lives...because you all know better!!!!!Pittbulls are horrble animals so stop trying to MAKE papers that say otherwise!!!!!!
and by the way...try to stay on the topic of dogs not racism I am black so no I do not discriminate but nice try to divert the attention of you gross dogs on to me.......focus on your freaks of nature and don't try to play the race card!!!

if you don,t have papers already ckc is the only one that i know of that you can get papers from and its simple you take pic,s of your dogs from different angles and have a vet and another person sign stating they are a fullbreed and if the price hasn,t changed its $10.00 per dog and you can request applications online.

UKC, NKC, ADBA, CKC, APBR, APRI, ACR are all registries you can use for the American Pit Bull Terrier. But, you cannot just register the parents & pups out of nowhere. Please research individual registries to find out what their qualifications are.
