We had to plan weddings in a home economics type class. And since you get to make up whatever you want, I'd plan something ridiculously cheap or expensive. If you opt for cheap just take pictures of your backyard and find a picture of a archway--most folks use them for outdoor weddings. If you want to go for pricey think of the most expensive hotel you know and get pictures from the website.

I would go online and search for banquet halls and hotels in your area that hold events. They should have pictures on their site and you can save and print those without having ever stepped foot inside the place! If it isn't specific to your area and the event can be held anywhere, go tropical or on a cruise or anything like that!
Good luck, hope it helped! If nothing else, email me and I could send pics of our location!

For the place where the bride and groom say "I do"....well, that would be in front of a church. And where the reception will be, that could just be a picture of a decorated resturaunt or reception hall.

Does this need to be in your home area? My suggestions would be a fancy Vegas casino like the Bellagio or Wynn, or a place by my town...
Google "Rancho Las Lomas" and click the first result... they've got photo galleries under the lefthand category "film and photo shoots"

You could go to a store and purchase a local bridal magazine. I live in the Chicago area and Brides magazine has local branches of the publication. This could work if you are to get pictures of local venues.

Normally I agree wIth the teacher but in this case I agree with you. Why do you need to plan a wedding for school, that's just dumb. At any rate, try the knot, they have alot of good info.
