Who does Paris Hilton think she is? Above the law? She had three chances to abide by the rules. SHE BROKE THE LAW. I don't care who, she is. SHE BROKE THE LAW. If the Governor of California, gives her a pardon, what a disgrace to him, society and those who have lost loved ones to drunk drivers. She is not being used, as an example. Many have driven drunk, and many have paid the consequences when caught. She is no different. She was caught, breaking the law. She needs to be punished, just like the rest of those, who break the law. She is looked upon, by younger teens, as a role model. Its not her fault, that her and those who look upon her, parents are totally clueless. Put mommy in prison with her then. Her mother is screaming foul. What justice, would there have been, if Paris would of drove drunk and killed an innocent person? Report me all you want. She was wrong. Admit it.

Zeb, SHE HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE IT RIGHT!! Your brother used his senses and did the right thing he followed orders. She had three chances and did not abide by any of them.

The judge is not making an example out of her. She failed to comply to the rules because she felt that her social status was above the law. Your brother followed up on his wrong. If your brother would of ignored his wrong doing, he would of got longer, as it should be. He did the responsible thing and made it right from the get go.

You are absolutely right. But she didn't just break the law once, she did it twice. She drove drunk and was caught. Her license was revoked and she was put on probation. This time she was just caught driving with a suspended license while on probation. She probably deserves worse than what she did get but she damn well better serve every second of the sentence otherwise I will angry with whatever state she broke the law in.

You are forgetting that most people wouldnt go to jail for this. My brother got caught driving not too and from work after his DWI and he went to jail for the night and seen the judge in the morning. He got his license suspended an extra 6 months. Most people would just get a longer suspension and not jail time. The judge is trying to make an example out of her because shes an idiot whos in the papers too much. I'm going to get lots of thumbs down on this, but you can check the records for yourselves.

No matter what any of us think of Ms. Hilton, doing ANY jail time on a suspended license violation is by far the exception and not the rule. While I am not completely familiar with her driving history, I cannot recall anyone doing time for a suspended license conviction. However, it IS possible she is doing jail time based upon a violation of probation ... IF she is still on probation for the previous DUI offense.

It would seem she IS being made an example of ... unless it is a probation violation for which she is going to jail.

Take it easy there my friend. You're getting excited over nothing. You don't think that Arnold would pardon her. He would never live it down. About the only thing he could do, is put her in a celebrity friendly jail. And I doubt that would even happen. The media are all over this high profile case, and nothing will get past them.

That is so right!!! Just because she is a celebrity does not mean she should be able to dodge this!! Celebrities should not be above the law - and especially not a weed smoking, drink driving, ditzy blonde like PARIS!!!!!!!!!

I agree she should be punished, but celebs rarely pay for crimes.

Every parent should show her as an example of what not to be like. If the parents did this more there'd be less young girls looking up to her and wanting to be like her.

calm down-she was wrong and should spend some jail time--and if i was the judge and could do it her parents would go to jail to and not collect 200 dollars--this is not a game
