I'm serious about this...
I'm not a christian and what not but.. I seem to talk to god a lot when I'm high.... I feel as close to him as I can be.
I'm really wondering what this is all about? Trust me, it's not some drug induced psychosis either.. I'm talking about some pot..
I just find it weird.. and kinda freaky..
Any opinions?

LOL! I've smoked pot now on a regular basis for 7+ years... but this is a new thing! Happened out of nowhere these last couple months.

I never said god talked back... I just find myself talking to him.. it's weird. I guess I'm just praying for some odd reason... Like I said.. it's not some drug induced psychosis or anything like that.

Religious leaders and Shaman have used psychedelics for thousands of years to get into that state. There's a center in the brain called the pineal gland that activates during religious experiences, and also by certain drugs. It's also called the third eye, it's the center of enlightenment. What you experience is natural, don't be scared of it. Read more about the pineal gland, and you'll understand what's happening and enjoy it more.
here's some links (the first one talks about ganja weed and God)

Too much, too soon! Allow these words to soak in. Let life happen, too. It takes time, altho you may feel overwhelming moments of impatience. There's nothing wrong with a little experimentation, but in moderation. Moderation is the key. At the same time, deny yourself something. This will provide you with a sense of balance. Never "go for it." Stay an even keel while exploring. Observe and learn from others. Too much of anything is not good for you. Just learn from your mistakes, and those of others. Try to help them, too. You may or may not have a religious experience along the way. These are words which I am practising for my soon-to-be teen-age daughter, who I don't want to see make any mistakes, but I know realistically will. I shyed away from pills and powders as a teenager in the mid-to-latter 70's and mostly smoked pot until I attended college, The two did not mix. Hope this helps you. Good luck!

In the olden days, the shamans were much more powerful. As time went by, their powers weakened, and that's where the use of narcotic substances for reaching altered states of consciousness began. But the thing is that these plants are living entities, teachers. Taking them requires great knowledge and practice. If taken correctly, they can give an enormous boost to a person's development. If, on the other hand, taken lightly, in jest or pride, the consequences can be harmful and irreversible. My own approach has been: not to dabble in things of which I have not enough knowledge. Altered states can be reached without artificial aids. I think people only have to remember, how. By the way, the members of the Native American Church are permitted to use peyote for ceremonial purposes.

My brother in law stayed with us for awhile. He started to do some dope. Once he told me God was throwing rocks from heaven. He had the most serious look on his face I ever saw. I can only guess that he wanted to be close to God when he was not high and let down his inhibitions when he was. You don't need drugs to talk to God or anyone else for that matter. Don't kid yourself, you're high, way up there! Try talking to Him when you are not high to get a reality check. He doesn't play hide and seek. Good Luck

You are changing the chemical balance of your mind giving you another perspective. This is the first time you have literally seen, sensed and thought in a completely new way so you will draw new conclusions on old stimulus.
If you start believing there are signs everywhere, or developing patently false beliefs (delusions) including the genuine belief that you are speaking to a God then you may be on the edge of schizophrenia which 1 in 100 people develop regardless of pot use.

This is the truth. My good friend for 30 years used to smoke pot every day.He thought he was having some sort of experience. Finally he got so stoned he opened up that curtain and saw what was really there and it wasn't God.It was Demonic. He didn't stop smoking for a few years but he never got that stoned again. He had to quit because our work was starting random drug testing.Best thing that ever happened to him .His lungs are clear now.So is his head.

I'm not sure but it seems to me that you may be allowing an unknown spirit / demonic force to dwell in you. I know this may seem a little out there but there is plenty of evidence on the subject. When we get high through the use of pot or some other drug of choice we are altering the way we percieve the world around us and opening the gates of hell into our lifes. When we worship God and speak with him we should do it in Spirit and Truth. Take the paranoid feeling you have after using pot. Now that's not normal and God surely can't be please with that. God is a loving God and Fear is the opposite of love. He wants us to have our full thinking ability. I know that satan would love to enter into you and control/ destroy your life and those around you. I know because I was where you are now and believe me , you have a God that loves you and wants the best for you always. He doesn't want you to get high on drugs he want's you to get high on life and we can truely do that through a one on one relationship with Him. I believe that all drugs are anti-Christ meaning they are against what God's purpose is for your life. We can be free of this type of bondage through asking Gods help. I would suggest getting help from a local church if at all possible. I hope this helps.. God Bless

Hunny, you're just stoned. Everything seems like a huge revelation when you're under the influence.
People have talked about using drugs to acheive a higher consciousness or closeness with God since the beginning of time. Its not strange to feel like this. It doesn't make it true, though.

This is a no-brainer. Your euphoria is typical of drug use. A natural 'high' that is not of the flesh and more of a real comfort comes from the Holy Spirit. Experiencing joy with that last doobie? Try true joy and set your eyes on the spiritual, rather than the temporal.

Good for you. You got to have a spiritual experience. That's cool. People use all kinds of things to get there. Different stuff works for different people. For some its a Gothic church with a choir and incense. For others its a bowl of ice cream after a softball game. Don't let the Fundie Xtians spoil it for you. They get upset when people do things different from their ideas
