Maybe not next year but most likely soon. I don't understand why Teresa and/or Sr. didn't just give each child 25%. I would guess Sr. would have wanted his kids to inherit the company but it seems that Teresa is either greedy or she think Jr. & Kelly will run DEI into the ground. If Jr. is in fact leaving DEI.(and Truex Jr.). I guarantee DEI. will suffer, not only next year, but for years to come.

DEI is not DOA by next year. Robert Yates will have interest in a merger and outside investors will be out there as well. My first thought as far as drivers are that Paul Menard will be in the primary car and then in 2009 Greg Biffle may join the team since Roush has to cut back the number of teams they have. Otherwise, maybe they could lure a Ryan Newman away from Penske or a Kasey Kahne from Evernham. Teresa Earnhardt has money. It is how she uses it, that is the problem.

actually i read the other day biffles contract ends at end of this year biffle menard gilliland and rudd will drive for them next year
they were never that great of a race team anyway they dont have the best people in place to get it done
dei has what 19 or 20 wins in this series johnson has 27 in alot less time
dei was and always will be a middle of the pack race team

i dont really know. DEI or DOA maybe, will fall apart. without Dale Jr on DEI , DEI has nothing. Dale Jr is the only reason DEI is still alive. Theresa should just do the right thing if she wants to keep DEI alive and give it to Dale Jr.

D E I will still be running next year.There is a lot of talent in Busch,ARCA and other touring divisions as well as some veterans whose contracts are up that would and will jump at the chance to drive for the team.

Unless they can get someone who lives on mars, getting a driver could be dificult...or someone who has absolutely no hopes(is mikey still anchored to toyota?) this could spell the end of dei

If Yates and DEI merge they will have four teams in the top 35 in owner points. Jr's new team won't have any and will have to qualify on time. It won't be that hard to find a driver and sponsor if you and guarantee them starts.

It's going to be real interesting if this does happen. I dont think that they will be DOA next year, but I really think that this will hurt them real bad. We talk about Jr leaving, but Truex is suppose to be leaving also. It's kinda crazy, lets see what is said tomorrow.
