it is a verse from the Quran
2:286

On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

This is my favorite verse in the Quran next Ayatul Kursi. :) One dark night when I was at one of my lowest points in my life..... I opened the Quran as I lay on my prayer rug sobbing. I had truly felt hopeless, helpless, and alone. I thought truly that God had forsaken me. As I lay in sujud with my tears flowing and my heart breaking I thought to open the Quran with the hope somehow I could get peace. I opened right to that verse - 2:286. Alhamdulillah wa Allahu Akbar. I'll never forget how merciful God is and loving.

I prefer the Lord's prayer thank you. But some burdens you bring upon yourself in my opinion. God might not give you more than you can handle, but you can still bite off more than you can chew in life...

Hmmm...pretty...what do you think of this, also from the Qur'an?

Qur'an:4:95 "Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no injurious hurt, and those who strive hard, fighting Jihad in Allah's Cause with their wealth and lives. Allah has granted a rank higher to those who strive hard, fighting Jihad with their wealth and bodies to those who sit (at home). Unto each has Allah promised good, but He prefers Jihadists who strive hard and fight above those who sit home. He has distinguished his fighters with a huge reward."

This paradise being, of course, also described in the Qur'an.

Qur'an 56:8 "Those of the right hand-how happy will be those of the right hand! ...Who will be honored in the Garden of Bliss; Qur'an 56:13 "A multitude of those from among the first, and a few from the latter, (will be) on couch-like thrones woven with gold and precious stones. Reclining, facing each other. Round about them will (serve) boys of perpetual (freshness), of never ending bloom, with goblets, jugs, and cups (filled) with sparkling wine. No aching of the head will they receive, nor suffer any madness, nor exhaustion. And with fruits, any that they may select: and the flesh of fowls, any they may desire. And (there will be) Hur (fair females) with big eyes, lovely and pure, beautiful ones, like unto hidden pearls, well-guarded in their shells. A reward for the deeds."

Interesting mental picture, isn't it?
