Nope, happens all the time. It's not weird at all. If one's married, you can do a maid and matron of honor. It's your wedding, ok? Do what you want to do. If you want to have guy brides"men", then by all means do so. If you want to have a green cake with purple icing, then be my guest. If you want the bridesmaids wearing togas and carrying lit torches, knock yourself out....get the idea?
Seriously, happy wedding planning and congratulations!

Why not. Were having two best men so why can't you have two maids of honor.

I will have a maid of honor and a matron of honor in my wedding in July. It's your wedding, so do whatever makes you happy. There are no rules.

One time I heard this conversation on the radio and everyone was calling in saying it was so tacky! I don't see the big deal about it, really. I think its OK. But if there is any way you can pick one, I would try. I wish I could have two in mine, but I am just going to pick one, and I'm going with my cousin b/c I love her and grew up with her. My BFF means a lot to me, but she understands. Your friends will understand too! Just make the one you don't pick feel important by asking for her advice and valuing her input. good luck!

That's not too weird. A lot of people do that when they have two close friends or two sisters that they don't want to choose between.
It's actually quite common.
Remember that it's YOUR wedding. Do what YOU want to do, and do what's going to make YOU happy. It's all about YOU.

Sure, you can have anything you want. I had five bridesmaids and no maid of honor. It's your wedding. Rock it any way you'd like!

My sister is getting married this September and I am a MOH along with her bff, they've been friends for over 18 years. Remember that nothing is set in stone for every single wedding. It is your special day and you should have it how you will appreciate it most! Enjoy!!!!

No, there is only one position. Maid if unmarried, Matron if married. The other would be a bridesmaid.

Its unorthodox and totally goes against tradition. Id pick the one whom youve known the longest and ask the other one to be a bridesmaid.
