I had bad breath from a distance of five feet. In the dream I was shocked that people could smell my breath from that far away. What do you think this means?

the mouth represents many things. above all, the mouth holds secrets. the bad breath in your dream could represent these secrets and the fact that those people could smell them suggests that perhaps you don't want them to know what you want your mouth to hide. as far as the distance - the closer you are, the more apparent those secrets will be .

It suggests you may be feeling insecure in how you relate to others.

If you are concerned about your breath take the right steps to clean it--brush your teeth and watch what you eat. But chances are this just reflects some of your deeper concerns that people may not like you as much as you would like them to.

It shouldn't be a show-stopper in your life.

That perhaps you are very self-conscience or introspective during the day...maybe a bit obsessive about what other people think about you?

If you really do suffer from bad breath, try getting a tongue scraper at your local drugstore, and eat foods that have more friction (whole grains, whole fresh fruits), cut down on coffee.

It sounds to me as though something that you think is not obvious to people is in fact very obvious. What that might be only you can say, but I think I'd look at my life and see if there was something that seemed hidden from others, but might actually be far more evident than you think or would (possibly) wish.

You have a fear of having bad breath and being noticed for it. Dental related problems, teeth in particular, also relate an upcoming illness or fear of getting sick.

To me, it could be your fear of expressing yourself (bad breath comes from the mouth) or to send the wrong message.

as this is not an exact science....but here's my view:
are you trying ( consciously ) to find out more about someone you know...but without getting involved? fearing getting involved as you try to reach for this person's true self?if not a person then a new environment...or area....
