I highly recommend that you try to meet a boy, your age of course and in your school or your community. Although, the internet is useful for practical stuff when it comes to "hooking up." It is not the most safest place to turn too. Yes, I know he can provide you with a "valid" picture. I still would say it's a big no. If you look hard to enough you'll find there are decent boys around you. If you ever check online, or watch the news you'll find the number of online predators have increased. I say, do not take the risks no matter how, sauve, charming or savvy he is...online.

If he said he'd fly here then he's not 17... Ask yourself a question. Would you fly there and why? College breaks are pretty much over everywhere. Sounds fishy to me. Meet a good local boy.

he' fly here from europe to meet you? WOW!! i'm leary of ever meeting anyone quickly on line. Much less from another country .
I'd never have them come near my place of residence. I like to have backup and plans for meeting. Such as a public place, etc. Many normal people out there, have it ruined by the jerks that use it for stalking.
I spent 6 months checking out the guy I eneded up dating. then met his friends, family, etc.
Be careful. you are young at 17 and i'd worry about safety for you.

I know someone who it worked out for. He lived in Ohio, she lived in Maryland BUT just today there was a story on the news about a girl who was raped and murdered on her first date with a guy that she met online. Do you wonder why he can't get a girl in his own Country?? Be very careful!!!!!

At your age yes!!!!!! I am 49, I would think twice before leaping into that situation. You really do not know him.....If you still think you have to meet him,. do so with parents around. If he does not want that. he is up to something.

Normally, I would advise against it. But, he sounds like a decent fellow. Just make sure that when you meet him, your entire family is there.

its not "bad" you just need to be careful about where you meet --- make sure it is very public --- and are you sure he is not old??? too many people lie about everything online --- be careful best wishes
