What to wear?

I have to go to family court tomorrow what should I wear?

Wear a nice patterned summer dress, square neck. Accessorize with an Australian white pearl necklace and Dolce & Gabbana sandals.

Pay attention to your pesonal grooming - hair neat,gentle makeup, nails and hands manicured to be tidy. Remove any facial jewellery except earrings, earrings should be small and smart looking, not dangly and cheap. Don't wear too many rings. Make sure your shoes are polished and in good nick.

Going in with an 'accept me as I am' attitude whilst wearing all the wrong stuff, does not work - think of your court appearance as a game. If you play the game you have a better chance of the case going your way - dress conservatively, do the right thing - sadly appearances are everything and you will be judged on your appearance. Perhaps it shouldn't be that way in this day and age, but it is.

Always give the Court a good impression. A simple outfit of dress slacks and blouse or skirt and blouse is fine. If you want to wear a jacket or blazer, that's ok too, but not necessary.
