It really doesn't matter. A lot of times the Dr. will have you start the first Sunday after your period. All this does is make it so that you don't get your period on weekends (apparently this is when people are most active). Now in the package you get from your pharmacist, there will be stickers that you can place over the original days so that you don't get confused on when you did/didn't take your pill.

It doesn't matter, once you end your period, start the pills. It doesn't have to be Sunday, the package just uses that day because that's the basis of the week scheduled on the birth control pack (but you can put the stickers on according to whichever day you start)

It doesn't really matter. If you start on Sunday it makes it easier to remember what day to start your next pack again. Also, on a calendar the week starts on Sunday. The top of the pack also starts on Sunday. You can start your pills on the first day of your period or on Sunday, it doesn't matter.

If you don't start on Sunday then you have to use the little stickers they give you to change the days of the week on the top of the pack ;-)

you dont have too but it is easier for you to remember, otherwise you have to get the "day stickers" out that comes in the pack and re arrange the days on your pill pack. its just easier to start them on a sunday since that is the 1st day of the week

probably not, but they probably do that just to make it easier for you to remember which ones to take on which day, just as a memory device, since most of us already do things according to a weekly cycle.
