I am a Hendrick fan and I can tell you that if he is fielding a Hendrick satelite team, like Ginn Racing, he will have the best equipment in NASCAR. However, he will not have the depth or technology that Hendrick, Gibbs, or RCR have. I think this a smart move for Dale Jr. in the long-term, however, this is not how I want to remember Dale Earnhardt Jr. I want to eventually remember him as a nextel cup champion and this is not the best option in that quest. I think a better option would be for Jr. to ride in a Hendrick Motorsports car for a couple of years, namely the #25, while fielding cup teams at Jr. Motorsports. That way he has the best of both worlds.

If it's true that Jr's gonna be getting his engines and chassis from Hendrick it's a smart move, look at how well the Hendrick powered cars (and not just the HMS cars, the Ginn cars too) run every Sunday. Besides just because I'm bored with Hendrick cars winning every week doesn't mean I hate HMS (have no problem with Gordon, can't stand Johnson though). Besides I was up at HMS a few weeks ago, (the wife and kid are Gordon fans) and in the museum there's a photo of Rick Hendrick with Dale Sr. after Dale won a race in a Hendrick car.

I'm a Jr fan, but I haven't been bashing Hendricks so my answer may not count. I really do hope that all of the speculation is true!

I say wait until 11 am Thursday to find out what is really going to happen. Too many conflicting reports at the moment to say for sure if he's going to run a Hendrick satellite or go to someone else like RCR.

i'm no longer a private fan of anybody team of racecar drivers... (as i'm partial to particularly plenty one driving force from each and every faction). i do no longer understand alot of the history for answering this question, yet i comprehend that Gordon and Johnson have outperformed Jr. (and Truex Jr. whom is likewise in DEI rookie this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days..) so a techniques (as an entire). Now i'm no longer asserting one is larger than the different, or one whines extra/much less... reason whilst it comes right down to it, there is one in each and every team. Being kinda new to Nascar (my 2d season observing), I met a Jeff Gordon fan in the time of my initiation... he in no way EVER had something advantageous to declare approximately the different drivers (different than Kenseth, reason he became into from WI). I developed an exciting hatred for Gordon, in the time of that season, yet i got here across it may no longer be well worth it. he's a sturdy driving force, as there are various... He would not be the first or the last to lease the motors from Hendricks.
But after the press conferrence today the picture could be clearer.

Why because there are reports that they might be building the engines, and chasis for Jrs new team. Thats nice, I am just wondering why Toyota is planning on a news conference at noon today, ESPN reported that they have announcements of a new 2 car team that will begin competition next year. Wonder what thats all about.

just because the chevys run hendricks motors does not go to the fact that Jr is his own pwrson, owner and driver, enjoy the competition

All that they can say is that HMS cheats and that NASCAR is fixed. It certainly couldn't be because they have the best equipment, personnel and drivers... or COULD it? That's exactly WHY they get bashed so much, because they are better than anyone else in the Nextel Cup. Heck, their #3 team is better than DEI's #1 team and Jr has finally seen the light. There is not room for him at HMS but he would be wise to get his engines from them if he races under JRM next year.
