you cant lose weight by doing crunches, sit ups etc. they build muscle and will only make those areas look bigger since there is gona be more muscle underneath the layer of fat.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Hey! I am the same age as you, and I have been doing stomache crunches, going for bike rides after school and walking around my block a lot more than I used to, and I have lost some weight from just that alone. I think it is because I am always hungry and I eat like 3 snacks after school and instead of eating and watching tv I am excersing while enjoying the weather....but it helps to have a friend come over and then say "do you want to go for a bike ride?" that way you get your excersie and you get to do it with a friend....but the best part is you are excersing without your friend even realizing you are trying to loose weight!
I hope that helps you!
