It's not healthy for a dog to always have the hiccups. If nothing else, it has got to be really uncomfortable for him. Have you taken your dog to a vet? He may have some problems that require medical attention. Keep dogs away from chocolate, and don't let them eat onions, either.

Hi, my dog used to have bad stomach problems. Having experienced only SOME of the things you described, I advise you to take your dog to the vet before it DIES. My dog was very sick, and even though I could not afford it, I went without to get him the help he needed. If you love your pet, you should be sure he is healthy, if you don't love your pet or there is absolutely no way that you can care for him properly by taking him to the vet, you need to give him to someone who can. I don't mean to sound condescending, but when you own a pet, you are as responsible for their health as if you had had a baby. Please take your dog to the vet, if anything, he has a serious sensitivity to whatever you are feeding him. Good Luck.

yup, but you should hear something, not just see a twitch. It actually sounds (at least my dog) like she was heaving, but wasn't cause she would just lay there and do it. It's funny cause it was something really only a mother could tell the difference with, other people were like oh she's going to puke, and i'd be like nope she's just got the hiccups. She's stopped now that she's older, how old is your dog?

Sounds like your dog has some stomach problems going on. You didn't mention age or what you're feeding your pet. A 50/50 mix of hamburger and cooked rice will settle it's stomach. Chocolate isn't deadly - it's the caffeine in chocolate. Call your vet - please. You just need some basic info. Good luck.

yeah dogs are just like humans and they get hiccups and sneeze and why is it deadly for a dog to eat chocolate? b/c a dog's heart beats alot faster than a humans... so there for it would speed up the dogs heart rate where they could have a heart attack... kinda like what coke or meth does to a human... its a stimulant to a dog and thats why its not very good to feed your dogs human food... o0o and with your dog getting fatter and throwing up he could have developed heart worms if you don't already have him or her on a protection plan you need to ASAP

I can't answer the rest of it but chocolate contains a chemical called bromine. Dogs cannot metabolize this chemical and it can be fatal. A 1/4 pound of baker's pure unsweetened chocolate will kill any dog, no matter what size they are.
