i have seen the viper 7900 and i want something like that, i was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions, or if someone has had this and what they think of it, let me know thanks

The nice thing about Viper alarms is that you can always find a local dealer that carries it (or one of its many sister brands that are pretty much interchangeable) so you won't ever have a problem getting service for it later. However, another brand to check into would be Compustar. They have a good reputation and range/features that compare well with the Viper units.
The quality of the installer is at least as important as the quality of the alarm, and probably more important.
