I have been to ProKart before and it's a lot of fun. But the karts are a lot more hardcore than the typical amusement ones. They got a lot faster, and the tracks are more curvy difficult, etc... You have to wear helmets too. I have never been to Grand Slam, but I'm sure they aren't as intense.
There is also a place called Lili Putt (I think it is in Coon Rapids) and they have mini golf, bumper boats, and Go Karts. There's are a lot more mellow, no helmets.
There's a place called Brunswick Zone in Brooklyn Park. It doesn't have go-karts, but they have really fun bumper cars, laser tag, and tons of arcade games.
Also, Valleyfair amusement park has go-karts, mini golf, and bumper boats.
Have fun! : )
