Chinese as an ethnic group are strongly family oriented, have a strong work ethic, have high value for educational achievement, are very dependable, and unobtrusive.
I would find it very difficult to learn their language, so my method of communication with the Chinese I know is mostly monosyllabic, hand signs, and pointing. I have strong admiration for those I am familiar with.

Chinese are the most adventurous people in the world. You can find them at almost all of the countries. They don't born there, but migrated there for better opportunities.
Chinese are also borned Businessman. In countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Chinese are minority, but they are the main contribution for the countries economic.
Chinese are survival and very flexible, that's explain why they can survive in all over the world.

I don't know about contributing to "my" country, but they certainly have contributed quite adeptly to my diet. The Chinese family that owns the restaraunt where I go feeds me quite well, thank you. And every time I go in, they give me bigger helpings. I've never got sick from their food, never found hairs or other foreign objects in the food and they're always kind and obligatory. Theyre quite and hard working. Unfortunately, however, these are the only Asian folks I actually know of to BE Chinese because I just don't really ask people about their ethnicity. I don't care. Treat me well and I like you. Feed me well and I'll die for you ;)

I am a Chinese, born and live in Malaysia. In our country, Chinese is the race with the strongest financial power. We are the top tax payer while our race is only less than 30% of the whole nation population.
Yes, Chinese men are cleaver and sometime you find them are too smart or... cunning in some negative minded people's mouth, but we will never be the barbarians who destroy middle east peoples' life just because of oil supply.

I live in Brazil. Some years ago I lived near a chinese family. They owned a restaurant and all the family worked hard there. They were very nice and honest people. I liked them. Every now and than I visit their restaurant and they still work hard and are still friendly. I know other chinese who own stores, and are successfull in their career as salesmen. I like people like them, who work hard, generates employment and tributes to the country, and contribute to the development of our country.

They are great people! I have three Chinese friends. Many Chinese people immigrated to America in the 1800's and built the Transcontinental Railroad, and were a part of the California Gold Rush.

You can't pack them as a whole, those that I know are nice people, but like in any other race there are both good and bad guys, usually being the bad ones who make the more noise.
