Yes to both questions. That's why I'm an atheist. You only get one shot at life. Why waste it, make yourself miserable, deny yourself a lot of harmless pleasures, hurt a lot of people and screw up your kids for a myth? It's self-evident that there can't be an all-loving god. Religious fundamentalists are selfish cowards. They believe that if they commit unspeakable acts against others and send them to hell, they'll get their reward; a crown of gold, 144 virgins, fountains of wine etc. And anybody who screws their kids up by teaching them religion is a gutless, despicable coward. The old testament prophets, Jesus, Mohammed and the rest of them were the worst humans who ever lived.

Believing in what ever God you do, is a comfort through life. It makes you feel that you' re not alone and can keep you from being overwhelmed through life. So, even if there isn't any God and if I were to believe there is , I will be a better person to this world I will have confidences and not have so much fear of this terrible world. It is the only thing that gives me peace. And so what if there isn't. What did I lose. I am a better person, I will appreciate what I have and I will probably live longer and I wasted WHAT?. So I don't understand what you would have wasted in your life? If there is no God, guilty? It won't matter (when you die). You are nothing You can't feel nothing. So where is the guilt. Guilty is only a meaningful word to someone knows right from wrong( that is either God or the devil talking to you. You know the little voice that says do it when you know it' wrong or don't do it because its wrong. I am not a religious person , but hope there is a Heaven and hope there ain't a hell, And if there is a Fatherly God All of us will meet in heaven.I love my kids that I would never eternally condemned them. God if he is like he is said to be loves us more than we can love anyone. If there ain't a god that cool if there nothing, it's better than hell.Hope this helped

No, not even one second! If one day when I am in heaven and I found out there is no God, at least I know that I have live a good and Godly life. A friend of mine, came up to me and says that I am different from others(in a positive way). I just smiled at him for I know even there isn't God, at least I have changed someone's view of the world(in a positive way).

If you die and cease to exist then you feel nothing. You don't exist so you don't feel. You have no regrets because you don't exists. You have no guilt because...you guess it. If your dead and you feel anything at all then there must be an afterlife. This would mean you must posses a soul. At this point unless your really thick it would be a good idea to re-evaluate your belief that all things supernatural are bogus.
So it appears that failing to believe is an illogical route because if you believe and are wrong you feel nothing and suffer nothing but if you deny and are wrong you might face a consequence.
I am just answering this logically so my apologies if I offend your sincere beliefes.

I wouldn't feel guilty about believing it. Because of believing in God I have lots of friends in church, I have a good attitude with just about everything, I have a short temper, and I get along with everyone. I've been taught morals that everyone respects and because of that I usually get respect.
I also have a hope of heaven, and whether or not it exists it makes me happy to think that I'll be there someday. So if there's nothing after death, then I think ignorance is bliss in this case.
And I don't have kids, so I won't answer for that.

If there were no God then we would merely be molecules in motion. There would be no good, or evil. Logic, science, ethics would not make sense. Every fact of human experience and knowledge would be without meaning. This is why there must be a God, because nothing, and I mean nothing, would make sense with a preconditioned belief in the existence of the Christian God.

--IF INDEED THERE IS no God, then:
--THERE IS NO gravity, wind, oceans, earth, sun, stars, universe, sex, children, animals, food, water, moon this list could go on forever......
--DID MAN INVENT any of the above?
--ILLOGICAL & SILLY ---evolution didn't!
---SO WITH ALL PERSONS & THINGS EXCEPT 1 eliminated what conclusion do we come up with?
**THIS SIMPLE CONCLUSION "always" faces us:
(Hebrews 3:4) 4 "Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God.. . ."
--DO YOU OWN A HOUSE? --- If I were to say: NOBODY built it --and if you insist on somebody did--YOU WOULD be fooling yourself!--HOW WOULD YOU REACT TO THAT??
--THERE ARE FORCES on this earth that man or scientist does not even know exist!---- AND YOU are going to tell me that NOBODY MADE it-- just confining ourselves to this little earth, forget about the universe, JUST THIS LITTLE OLD EARTH?
--DID Sir Isaac Newton INVENT gravity OR did he discover it?
--WHAT ABOUT every other force that exists?
***electromagnetic forces, photosynthesis, enertia, infra-red light, blue light, light spectrum, sound waves, light rays etc. LIST GOES forever?
-----DID ANY SCIENTIST invent any of those marvelous forces?
-----WHERE DID YOU LEAVE your mind?--IN NEVER NEVER LAND?
*****NOW JUST FOR FUN LETS ELIMINATE ALL 3: God, Evolution, & Men!
--WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUR kids and not be lying?
--HOW COULD YOU REALLY even do that since you would not even have a mind to think or A tongue to speak----- how you would tell your kids? OH, YOU COULDN'T because they do not exist, and neither do you?
----YOU REALLY LIKE THAT SCENARIO?
===========
PS--AS REGARDS SIR ISAAC NEWTON and his belief in a personal creator--ESPECIALLY in view of Hebrews 3:4--PLEASE NOTE:
*** gh chap. 6 p. 54 par. 10 The Source of Good News—“God”
--10 The discoverer of the “law of gravity,” Sir Isaac Newton, was another who was deeply impressed by the evidence of God’s invisible qualities that are to be seen in His creation. The following account relates how Newton testified to his belief in Almighty God:
--Newton once had a skilled mechanic make for him a model of the solar system. Balls representing the planets were geared together so as to move realistically in orbit. One day an atheist friend visited Newton. On seeing the model, he operated it, and exclaimed in admiration, “Who made it?” Newton answered, “Nobody!” The atheist replied, “You must think I am a fool! Of course somebody made it, and he is a genius.” Newton then said to his friend, “This thing is but a puny imitation of a much grander system whose laws you know, and I am not able to convince you that this mere toy is without a designer and maker; yet you profess to believe that the great original from which the design is taken has come into being without either designer or maker!”

Well, the only way anyone finds out there is no god is to be dead. At that point, you are incapable of thinking or feeling anything--so all these holy rollers are NEVER going to see the truth, and the rest of us don't get to say, "See, I told you so." Bummer.
This argument that there must be a god because without it there'd be no earth, no gravity, no air, blah, blah, etc.--that's like saying there must be a Santa Claus, otherwise, how would all those presents get there? Use your brains, people!

No, I'm not wasting any time by believing in God!
also how would i found out if there's no God? when i die?
well if there's no God then there's nothing after we die, i would be completely non-existed, so i wouldn't have any time to feel sorry for myself or anyone else.
