I met my girlfriend online and we created a myspace, in the beginning, I lied about my family background(had a reason to do it) and about which university I was going to. Ok, I told her the truth one month and a half ago, and she forgave me in one month, but I dont think she fully forgave me.
She just erased me from her profile in myspace, and I checked her photos, and she input one of some guy and giving it a title, 'Best guy ever" and he was pathetic stoner!!!
Ok, after seeing this, I just send her my best regards, and said my last goodbyes. I feel good because its like if i came out of this with dignity, I apologized sincerely one month and a half, but this is how she left me, for a stoner! over a pre-med student! Me!
Is this dignity that im feeling? Or do you think what she did was correct?
Instead of telling me in the beginning, she played with me for that time. What do you think?

Fat man lookin' in a blade of steel
Thin man lookin' at his last meal
Hollow man lookin' in a cottonfield
For dignity
Wise man lookin' in a blade of grass
Young man lookin' in the shadows that pass
Poor man lookin' through painted glass
For dignity
Somebody got murdered on New Year's Eve
Somebody said dignity was the first to leave
I went into the city, went into the town
Went into the land of the midnight sun
Searchin' high, searchin' low
Searchin' everywhere I know
Askin' the cops wherever I go
Have you seen dignity?
Blind man breakin' out of a trance
Puts both his hands in the pockets of chance
Hopin' to find one circumstance
Of dignity
I went to the wedding of Mary-lou
She said I don't want nobody see me talkin' to you
Said she could get killed if she told me what she knew
About dignity
I went down where the vultures feed
I would've got deeper, but there wasn't any need
Heard the tongues of angels and the tongues of men
Wasn't any difference to me
Chilly wind sharp as a razor blade
House on fire, debts unpaid
Gonna stand at the window, gonna ask the maid
Have you seen dignity?
Drinkin' man listens to the voice he hears
In a crowded room full of covered up mirrors
Lookin' into the lost forgotten years
For dignity
Met Prince Phillip at the home of the blues
Said he'd give me information if his name wasn't used
He wanted money up front, said he was abused
By dignity
Footprints runnin' cross the silver sand
Steps goin' down into tattoo land
I met the sons of darkness and the sons of light
In the bordertowns of despair
Got no place to fade, got no coat
I'm on the rollin' river in a jerkin' boat
Tryin' to read a note somebody wrote
About dignity
Sick man lookin' for the doctor's cure
Lookin' at his hands for the lines that were
And into every masterpiece of literature
for dignity
Englishman stranded in the blackheart wind
Combin' his hair back, his future looks thin
Bites the bullet and he looks within
For dignity
Someone showed me a picture and I just laughed
Dignity never been photographed
I went into the red, went into the black
Into the valley of dry bone dreams
So many roads, so much at stake
So many dead ends, I'm at the edge of the lake
Sometimes I wonder what it's gonna take
To find dignity

well you are definitely feeling sum pride, you can just tell by what you think of this "pre-med student" that has nothing to do about how he is. what makes you any beatter than him, well besides the fact that he smokes, if thats even true? and yea you shouldnt have lied in the first place. but in anycase, she is also wrong for not letting you know wether or not she fully forgave you and then not telling you that she left you, just hooking up wit another dude. so ur both wrong, or ur both doing the right thing, depending on how you look at it. but yea im sorry it seems like ur feeling a bit prideful.

Okay okay, first of all... why the hell did you lie, I can say over and over that won't get you anywhere, but I know, you already learned your lesson (I hope) Anyway as a girl, I'm sure she felt betrayed because you lied, so now she's in a stage where she is angry and the way to really get back at you is post a picture of her new interest. If you guys really had a good relationship, and really cared for each other, there is no way she's over it. It takes time. But my advice is, leave it alone. You said best regards, you left in a good way. Learn from this mistake, and hold your head up high.

I'm not judging but hear what I have to say.
I don't think what either of you did was correct. You should not have lied. She should have told you the truth.
I think you are feeling closure. Closure can be very satisfying.
Accept this feeling and move on with your life. Treat it as a lesson learned and do the right thing next time. It won't guarantee that everyone will do the right thing but at least you'll know that you have done the right thing.

I think the fact that you are a pre-med student has nothing to do with it. No one is going to love you just for that. The fact that you felt the need to make sure everyone know you were a pre-med students shows that you are probably a pompous @ss that lied...regardless if you told the truth eventually or not. It's not dignity or pride...it's arrogance.

It took you a month and a half to be honest.
Turns out for all the time she *knew* you, you were a stranger to her.
She owed you nothing.
Everyone lies on the internet, but you and she were trying to cross over the line between cyberspace into reality - you should have been honest a lot earlier than you were.

She'll really get over it one day. The sad thing about the internet is that are people who really want to meet others for a long term relationship but so many people lie and use the internet as a dating game. The other man means nothing.

Well you know that you shouldn't have lied. So use that as a lesson. Don't do it again.
She should have just told you she was breaking up and gone on. It's more or less underhanded.
You took the highroad and did the right thing.
Now... go get that degree and become the best doctor ever.....

First and foremost, it's not your problem, it's hers. Don't worry too much about what your feeling. Just know that in the future, you would not be in a relationship with a girl like that. It hurts to see a good guy like you ends up getting hurt by a nasty girl
