when I was a child we were given no choice... and when it came time for confirmation I again was given no choice my parents have yet to hear the end of it........ I am anti catholic... anti religion anti BS.

As your parents, they probably thought they were doing a good thing. Give them a break. I know many that have left the RC Church. Does not mean they have left Christianity.
