We already tried that...remember your U.S. History class, when you studied Prohibition?

It didn't work...people made their own, smuggled it, drank all kinds of scary, crazy things that were brewed in the bathtub.

In truth, we'd save more lives if we legalized all narcotics...Keeping these illegal actually adds to the crime we're faced with every day. A significant number of the bad guys out there are only doing bad stuff because they are on or are selling drugs.

We could also tax them, like we do with tobacco and alcohol, and bring a whole new revenue stream to the government.

Common sense says, regardless of whether they're legal or not, don't use them. We all have the ability to simply decline the offer, if it's put in front of us.

Because it would go back to the prohibition.

Back then when alcohol was illegal, people would brew and sell it in sercrecy. The government realzied this and repealed the amendment, but put a tax on the sale of this. They also have this tax on tobacco products, since the same thing can happen.

Moral of the story, if the government cant control the production and distribution, they try to make money off of it.

This is becuase it is shuch a huge buiseness. Smoking kills thousands of more people a day than cocaine does. Alcohol leads to drunk driving, fights, loss of common sense and much more. Yet Tobbaco and Alcohol are still on the market. Its because so many people are addicted to it and its such a huge busuiness.

I agree with you on the smoking thing. In my town, smoking is banned in all public places.
As far as alcohol goes, people are supposed to be "adult and responsible" when they drink (hence the legal age of 21). A few drinks here and there can certainly contribute to fun times. Unfortunately, not everyone is responsible when they drink and people do lose their lives. Not due to alcohol but due to bad choices of the user.
There are millions of things that can kill you. You just have to be cautious when using them.

Well, I always think the same thing!!! It's a little dumb...but I guess it's just a big way for people to get money (by selling drugs and stuff like that)!!! Well, in elementary school, we did letter to the editor things, and I did "There Should be Less Drugs and Tobbacco Shops".

Remember the movie "Cold Turkey?" just imagine the whole U.S. of A being forced to go cold turkey, AT THE SAME TIME!! I am so glad I quit many, many years ago, I went cold turkey and it was a SOB, but I finally did it, if I had it to do over I would get the drugs they make for quitters now adays.

The makers don't care if we die! The government gets more money that way. Take a look into Monsanto or Codex Alimentarius. They're going to try to take away our health freedom. Here's a vid you can watch. It's long, but worth it:

Just type it in on the bar. You have GOT to see it.
