Is telling my friend the way I feel a good idea?

I have this friend, Zane. I've known him for about two and a half years, and we've been good friends for about a year now. We hang around the same group of people, and we are really comfortable around each other. Last weekend, we all decided to go out for a movie. I sat next to Zane, and for the majority of the movie, we were too engrossed in conversation to pay attention to the story line. We were sitting pretty close; he had his arm on my thigh and we were holding hands. Five days later and things have been pretty awkward at school for me. I see him at my locker or at lunch but its hard for me to act normally around him. I want to tell him that I like him, but I'm too embarassed and it would really suck if he didn't feel the same way, because I'm pretty sure our friendship wouldn't be the same. And also- I know this sounds pretty stupid, but I know our friends would give me a pretty hard time if they knew I liked him (or if he liked me back, even). What do you think I should do?

I think by not talking about the subject, it's only going to make your friendship awkward. If he initiated the touching then he might be waiting for you to say something to him. You could always resort to a text message if you don't think you can confront him face to face.

Hmm... Ok if you want to go out with him, i think you should continue being intimate, and wait for him to ask you, not the other way around. Just to let you know, he definitely likes you more than a friend, it is up to you what to do about it. Oh, and don't worry about your friends, i had that problem they stop after about a week XD

First who cares what your friends think if you like him and it sounds like he likes you then go for it. You guys started off as friends first and maybe this is what developed and if they really are your good friends then they wont give you guys such a hard time they will be happy that you are togeather and that you two arent bringing in some one new that they may not like period

Ignore the friends, let them think whatever. You need to talk it out with him before it gets weird to hang around him. Perhaps ask him if he would be interested in a relationship, you 2 seem compatable. If he refuses then just brush it off

He's probably feeling the exact same way as you are right now. Sounds like he really likes you too, but doesn't know what to do next.

my friends kind of the same way. You shouldn't hide your feelings. your friends might not even think its weird because you hang around so much. they should really respect you. maybe start by telling your friends. teasing is normal. i know me and my friends tease each other a bit of who we like, but just ignore that. make sure when you tell the boy you like, your positive you actually like him... give it some time,

if yall were like that at the movies then you should probably tell him it sounds like he likes you. if not then he was just using you and hes not really the kind of guy you would even want to go out with...

tell him. be sincere. or a good line to say to a friend :

"can we talk. there is this guy i like and i don't know if i should tell him" when he asks who, say "you"

if hes one of your friends he'll lbe open to answer a question wouldn't he. move on from there. good luck.

dont worry about ur friends worry about yourself. also i dont normally hold hands during a movie with a girl thats only my friend and i dont "like." so he might like u too. go for it.
