It's beyond WW2. Technically, according to the Bible they're not supposed to marry people who aren't Jewish, so for some Jewish families it's a big deal when someone does. A lot of Jews don't care anymore though.

It's not the Italians, it's the intermarriage. Marriage between a Jew and a gentile is stictly forbidden.
There are Jews living in Italy, but Judaism isn't the first religion that springs to mind when you meet someone named Antonio.

My parents who are traditional orthodox Jews and have a measure of bigotry about various subjects always took us on holiday to Italy. They liked the climate. At no time did my father suggest he didn't like Italians and I have never heard any other Jewish person say this .

Might just be because he's not Jewish. Jewish tradition is very insular, in that it frowns upon intermarriage with Gentiles (non-Jews). This is one reason why it survived so long without a Jewish state to speak of.
'Course, this is by no means the view of ALL Jews.

I don't know, learned by DNA testing that I am 25% Jewish even though both parents came from Italy and were naturalized USA citizens. I have always had an affinity for Israel.

i dont think it had anything to do with him being italian. i heard the prank call too and the father goes psycho. he was upset that his daughter was involved with a non-jew. some people are very weird about this stuff, but i dont think it was an italian issue.

I didn't know that, but I guess it's because
the Italians and old time "Romans" were the same thing, the Romans taxed and oppressed the Jewish people in there eyes, so I guess it dates back to that.

Could be WW2, could be catholocism, could be intermarriage in general.
Of all the countries in the world, Italy has probably persecuted jews longer and more consistently than anyone else. The Arab countries don't even come close.
