I don't think Christians are freaks. Most of the Christians I know (even the most evangelical ones) are good, nice people. Of course, there is always that segment in the population and in any group that are Freakish by nature - but that does not apply, nor should it, to all people who call themselves Christians.

Maybe "they" think that we are freaks because they are afraid of the idea that others have the courage to have faith while they do not. It doesn't help that there are people out there "healing" others on TV and making big money. That is not "evangelism" its flat out commercialism of Christianity.
For all you nonbelievers out there, that is not true Christianity. Try reading the New Testament in the Bible for a better idea of what it is we Christians have place our faith in.

Christians are not freaks.
Christians or (Injeel) are favored in Gods eyes.
They have a faith that is not easily perceived by others.
Most of my closest friends are Christians and have grown immensely in spiritual understanding.
Religions unfortunately cause some people to get caught in a rut and stagnate in their spiritual growth.
Some of these friends are allowing their hearts and minds to open allowing them to find new forms of truth that they can apply into their lives. God is the "Truth", yet there are other forms of truth (spelled with a small t), that allow "Wisdom" to dawn, and a greater understanding of what Jesus means in their lives. They also perceive all spiritual brothers and sisters, as children of "One God".
Spiritual growth comes by keeping the heart and mind open and not closing oneself off to the "Resonance of God".

A Christians thoughts oppose human thought, which is based on physical science, and so is not cognizant of spiritual truth. It takes courage in this age to be Christian, as it did 2000 years ago. Not much has changed, as you begin to see.

Well, let's see...
* a universe in which all that exists are the earth and heaven
* solid 'firmament' structure (the sky) separating the earth from heaven (terrarium earth)
* talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys
* shepherd staff turning into an asp
* demons chased out of people and into pigs
* woman turning into a pillar of salt
* friendly spirits
* evil spirits
* walking on water
* multiplying loaves and fishes
* food falling from the sky
* conception by a ghost
* people raising from the dead
* the sun stopping in its tracks
* parting the sea
* people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky)
* world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain
* creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
* magical tree of knowledge
* god speaking from a burning bush
* ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker (thank you Sam)
In a sane world, anybody running around spouting ANY of that crap, would be locked up in the State Farm for the Funny. Apparently, though, mass insanity seems to convey some sort of free pass for the loony.
It purturbs me to know that in our society, irrational, deluded people who ACTUALLY BELIEVE such nonsense is TRUE are permitted to vote, hold public office, procreate, and shape the minds of trusting, vulnerable children.
It also purturbs me to know that these same people think that there is something wrong with those who DON'T believe all of this ridiculous crap.

I don't deny being a freak, personally. LOL
Some people don't understand our beliefs. Usually because there are plenty of so-called Christians running around who are corrupting the real message of Jesus (ie, Fred Phelps).

I spent four years living as and amongst charismatic , evangelical Christians and found them judgemental with a divorce rate as high as the secular world, full of gossip, idolatrous, jealous of each other,s achievements, materialistic,insensitive to people's real and pertinent problems,unable and unwilling to deal with alcohol, drug and sexual abuse, happy to denigrate other sects and religions, superficial, inconsistent in their beliefs,insular and spiteful.

The Soul (second mind) and you (first mind).
After your Born-Again, the Blindness comes off of these and you are able to understand INVISIBLE, SPIRITUAL Things of GOD.
Can't do that untill you get Born-Again.
It is a Twilight Zone kinda' thing.
Just the way it works.
