No.
"Faith" is the term used by believers to notate a trust in an individual, especially a deity, to behave in a way previously established, in action and word, with repetition (ie truthfully and consistently). In this sense, "faith" can also extend to belief in future actions predicted by the individual (whether God or human); it is really trust in that person's individual attributes and word.

"Fear" is the sense of dread felt by an individual under some sort of danger or threat. Fear can be either justified or unjustified, depending on whether the individual's "threat" is real or merely percievied (fear of walking blindfolded across a busy highway vs. paranoia about teeny-weeny spiders).

Believer or unbeliever, these are good working definitions.
Faith = Trust
Fear = Learned Dread

Not likely. Faith in Christ brings perfect love into the believer, and "Perfect love casts out fear."

One thing that I noticed in here is that when I give the right answer there is alway at least one thumbs down from an unbeliever. Christians know I am telling the truth.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, whereas fear is reliant on ignorance. Darkness asks, but there is no answer, for there is no question. OK then, this is not 101.

faith is the opposite of fear. Someone once said that courage is not the absence of fear it is the belief (faith) that something else is more important.

No, it is the LACK OF FAITH that believers give to fear. FAITH itself is when you are brave enough to accept that which cannot be seen.

Hmm, if you have faith but lack understanding it could cause a lot of fear that's for sure.

Faith is the opposite of fear. Fear is when you make crazy statements hoping, grasping at straws.

No. Faith is belief in something un-seen. Fear is the absence of Faith.

No...faith is wanting something to happen..and without any evidence to the contrary believing it's going to happen and just waiting on the goodness of it.

Faith is believing in what cannot be proven. Fear would be being afraid to believe in what cannot be proven.
