To those of you that assume that I made up that quote **blush** I am super flattered! as Elie Wiesel a romanian born, American writer who won the nobel peace prize in1986 wrote the above words.... not me!
Only FOOLS and IDIOTS are quick to open their mouth and say something dumb with regards to what they do not understand! ha ha ha ha!!!

It is a great citation, it is schoking!
Indifference is worse than hate;

I´d rather be dead than indifferent!

For the most part it make sense. As most of these are strong emotions. The opposite of emotion would be indifference. Not another emotion.

It has a poetic rhythm but I don't think it works all that well.
The opposite of love is actually fear.
The opposite of art is literalism.
The opposite of faith is certitude.
The opposite of life is security.
Less poetic, more accurate.

Not much. The first two are okay. The third should read: the opposite of faith is intelligent analysis of data. And the fourth is simply wrong.

I disagree with this quote, here is what I think is true:
The opposite of love is still hate;
The opposite of art is design solely for functionality;
The opposite of faith is distrust;
And the opposite of life is, yep you guessed it, still death.
