Do you mean decimal feet? just multiply by 12. If you want inches and fractions, it's a little more work, you need to take the fractional part (of the inches found above) and find the nearest fraction that you want to work with (eights, sixteenths or whatever you want) If you want feet and inches, use the integer part of the distance as is for the the feet, and multiply the fractional part by 12, for inches.

For example, 12.346 feet = 148.152 inches, or 148+1/8 inches, or, 12' 4+1/8"
If you are talking about some other scale, please clarify.
