Yes, SummerBlueRose is quite correct. For example in the Gospel of John, Jesus makes several "I AM" statements. To those of us that speak english, it's of little consequence, but if you understood the original text you would see the truth and power of these statements, and what got all the religious folks of the day up in arms.
When Jesus said "I AM" he used the equivalent of saying YAWEH, which was the Hebrew name for God, meaning "I AM" as related to the Israelites by Moses. Jesus uses examples of God as sustinance (I AM the bread of life) or God as the proper entry way (I AM the Gate), but in all of His "I AM" statements Jesus was saying He was God. The religious leaders of the day considered that blasphemy.
That is why to this day so many unbelievers are upset and rebelious. Cause deep down inside they know the very name of Jesus has the power to save. That in His name is the power of God the Father and the Holy Spirit. You ever notice why you never hear anyone say "satan damn" that's because he has no power. Jesus has the power while we live to give us life if we believe in Him now. One day He will come to condemn, to bring judgement, I believe the time is short.
Turn to the "I AM" of heaven, the "Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world".

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Don't mind the spiritually ignorant mockers. It is part of the package that comes with following Christ.
"All who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."
Men who try to understand God with thier intellect will always be against the truth until God reveals Himself to them. You fell into a nest of scorners who will reap what they sow.

However, what is good for you is not necessarily the belief of others so open your eyes and please keep your mind open to the beliefs of others.
There are billions of people in other countries who will reach the paradise/nirvana/heaven of their belief when they pass away without ever having heard of Jesus.
