For some who do not know, some games have spells/incantations and use herbs in these incantations like AC (Asheron's Call). Magick type games too.

I think Star Wars/Star Trek RPG may be ok. My main concern is the: spellcasting, spell herbs, certain words used, magick monsters in some games, and in others or the same: sexuality or romanticism, people playing just to hook up, or have other kinds of "fun" like drinking and drugs and sexual behavior in some other games (not that the games may promote this but that's what some people to most people do.).

I'm not sure, I use to play a lot! Then God told me I was wasting my time and I deleted all of my much loved accounts. I don't miss them, nor do I have a desire to play them. They are a fun diversion, but have the potential to become addictive. Many rpgs or morpgs have an optional list of gods to select from so perhaps the fantasy being created isn't exactly pleasing to God. I think time is best spent being inspired to creating things that are pleasing to Him.

No- they are not. I have been playong rpgs since I was 12 years old in the 1970s (pen 'n paper then) and can quite clearly state there is nothing wrong with them from a judaic point of view. The games are clearly fictional and fantasy. there is no real magic, no corresponding real life behaviour or carryover (except for in the case of a few mentally deranged indivivuals- but they would have been mentally deranged even without the games, it is just the outlet they ended up expressing themselves through).
The only element that would be of concern is if so much time is spent playing them that other aspects of your life are neglected. From a Judaic point of view free time should be spent studying Torah, but it is also understood that people need to take breaks and relax. Thus if there is a healthy balance there is no conflict- if there is no study- but lots of gaming, then there is a problem.
Edit: There are no real spells or incantations in the game, no real herbology or usage of herbs for magical purposes. It is all fantasy- and as long as the participants realise that there is zero harm. In my opinion there is more harm in trying to turn the games into something they are not- as if something out of a purely fictional, imaginative realm can have a real life effect.
As for the negative social interactions- its FANTASY, not reality. Since people realise that it is FANTASY, they see it as a great place to let their hair down and do things that they would consider unthinkable in real life. In some ways it is a positive cathartic experience- it lets people get that behaviour out in a way that is completely safe. (And the drunken debauchery etc in role playing games is common to all themes- I have seen it happening on a Star Wars MUSH years ago...)
The counter argument is that once a person accepts an idea, it becomes possible for them to act out that idea. I tend to reject that argument- millions of people have played RPGS, MUDS, MUSHs, MMORPGS, MUCKs, MUS etc- and how many people have been linked as murderers inspired by the games? Wanna bet that if you sampled the population of players of RPGs vs the general population you would find a generally higher level of education ond lower per capita rate of crime?

Jack Chick doesn't think so. Link below for his very long article on the subject.
Frankly I'd rather not have Christians in my games. When they play priests their priests are always going on and on about how their deity is the One True deity, and in the context of the game that's simply not true; and I had a guy once submit a character who would be persecuted for preaching there was only one deity, and I made it very clear that my world had many, and I had no desire to let this guy be a whiny martyr. In my world, most people would just think he was off his rocker, not persecute him.

Agnostic/Atheist. I do attend a christian church, they are very being concerned people who prepare the affection of neighbor that Jesus taught. they are my relatives and settle for that i don't do dogma. I certainly have began being raised catholic, became into as quickly as baptized Pentecostal, went with the aid of Buddhism and local American spirituality. So i've got enormously lots run the gamut. Even for many of my christian walk, i ought to in no way have self assurance that a "loving" god might do the "one lifetime, bypass/fail" device for heaven or hell. Reincarnation made an excellent deal extra experience to me. found out that reincarnation would not require any supernatural entity, nor does ethical/ethical habit. And the Universe would not require a supernatural author, the two. do not know for specific what became into in the previous the huge Bang, yet there is a lot we don't comprehend with regard to the Universe as yet. yet we do know that it runs extremely nicely with none supernatural entity that may not be in a position to be shown in the 1st place. I do have self assurance there's a "larger skill", besides the undeniable fact that that's a very organic one. advantages on your adventure!

It's a game, get over it. I haven't played since I was born again on March 13, but I don't have a problem with it either. It's a game, not what you believe.
I particularly like Neverwinter Nights and Dungeon Siege!
However, once it becomes important in your life and leads you from spending time with God, then there's an issue.

I'm not crazy about it. I base my belief on the frequent warnings against witchcraft in the Bible. The Galatians 5 warning is stronger than I even expected --
" 19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. "
I suggest you seek God about it if you're feeling concerned. I imagine selfish ambition could be a lot worse than a little game of WOW once in awhile, but it depends on whether you're trying to see what you can get away with or how to live a godly life.

I don't know about all of the games. The violence, maybe?
The only one that I have heard of as being wrong, is D&D. Since there's something about rolling a 6 sided dice 3 times. But that's all I heard.

Rocket propelled grenades are so cool!
Stupid people will tell you they are evil. People who are brainwashed will tell you it is devilry. People who know what happens when you start those is that you will begin to question religion and you will be exposed to more than a few people who don't believe the way your parents do and you might get true information and might start realizing the blindfold is on your eyes.

I can't prove it, but I don't see why not, as long as it doesn't lead you away from God or isn't overtly evil.
